I lean into it for a moment, then narrow my eyes at him as he pulls away. “I can’t believe you let me bitch all morning about how I wasn’t going to see you tonight. You could have put me out of my misery.”

The corner of his mouth quirks up. “Jill wanted it to be a surprise.”

I glance across the living room at my mother, who’s now chatting happily to Courtney. I’ve noticed the two of them getting along really well at our games, which has been really great to see. Mum’s only about five or six years older than Courtney, so I guess they have a lot in common.

“I should tell you some of Archie’s funniest moments,” my mum says. “There was this one time with a cucumber that he—”

Ah, bloody hell.

“Mum, I just heard Dad call you,” I lie.

“Ooh, it must be time to put the apple crumble in,” she says and heads to the kitchen.?

“What did you do with a cucumber?” Keegan asks, going over to a box of my old Lego my parents must have got out for him.

“I made an excellent sandwich with it.” I am just telling all the lies today.

“I’ll bet,” Courtney says with a chuckle, while Tom smirks at me, blue eyes twinkling with amusement.

He ducks his head to whisper in my ear. “Speaking of things that are long and hard and could fit in your arse, what are the chances of us sneaking off for a bit?”

Bloody hell, he’s insatiable. And I love it.

Despite the fact that there’s absolutely zero chance of us slipping off anywhere without people noticing, and that this house is in no way soundproof, I’m incredibly tempted to take him up on the suggestion.

At that moment, my dad waltzes into the living room, interrupting my thoughts and killing my boner.

“Evening all,” he says with a cheery wave. “Archie, have you taken Tom to see the shrine yet?”

My face flames and Tom’s brows shoot up. “The shrine?”

“Archie’s bedroom,” Dad explains. “Where this fairytale romance first blossomed.”

It occurs to me that this could be a good opportunity to get Tom alone in my bedroom, so I shrug. “I can show it to you after dinner if you’d like?”

He smirks at me, eyes flaring with comprehension. “Wild horses couldn’t keep me away.”

“Why would horses want to keep you away?” Keegan asks in the middle of building an A-wing Starfighter.

“It’s a saying originating from a torture method used in the nineteenth century where they used horses to drag information from prisoners,” Dad says. “It was on a quiz show a few months ago.”

“It’s also a Rolling Stones song,” Tom adds.

“How did they drag the information out?” Keegan asks, looking quizzically at my dad.

“Dinner’s ready,” Mum calls out.

Thank fuck. Judging by the looks on Courtney’s and Tom’s faces, they’re pretty relieved not to be detailing specific aspects of nineteenth century torture to their eight-year-old son. Although, now that I think about it, the nineteenth century sounds far too recent for torture by horse. But, then I guess this was the time of workhouses and press gangs and convict deportation, so why not?

We make our way into the kitchen and all squeeze around the dining table. I sit next to Tom and immediately start running my hand up his thigh. I feel the muscles contracting underneath my hand and I can’t wait to watch them fucking into me later. I can’t get enough of having this man inside me, and my mind’s already racing with possibilities for what we can do in my room later. Blow job, definitely; I haven’t sucked him off todayand I need the feel of him on my tongue.

Tom squeezes the back of my neck and I turn to him. The look on his face tells me he knows I’m thinking sexy thoughts.

Delicious, dirty thoughts.?

I wonder if I could get away with cupping his dick.

“Archie, who’s your favourite footballer?” Keegan asks, snapping my brain back from the gutter.
