I never thought in a million years that I would be here right now. With the woman of my dreams and son. My mother back in my life.

When my father first pulled me back into the brotherhood business, I thought that was it for me. Thought that I would never see Aria Maxwell, the love of my life, ever again.

I never used to believe in, ‘what’s meant to be, will be’ or ‘everything happens for a reason’. I just thought that they were some elaborate quotes to make sense of the shitty things that happen to people.

But now, I know differently. Life has a funny way of working out and giving you exactly what is meant for you. And me, the lucky bastard that I am, I ended up with everything I ever wanted.

I know with everything in me that Aria and I are meant to be. I told her before that we were inevitable, and I firmly believe that. I also think that everything we went through was meant to happen—even the bad stuff—because it brought us to where we are today.

It wasn’t easy, but we made it, and I will forever be thankful to the powers above, to whoever decided to put Aria in my path. For choosing her, out of the billions of women in the world to be mine. Because she is. And I am hers. I know wherever we go, we will always come back to each other. Always choose each other. In this life and the next.

Because Aria Maxwell was made to be mine.

And me hers.

Nothing and no one will ever change that.

EPILOGUE

Aria

We are having a housewarming of sorts.

My whole family is here, along with Bishop’s mother and stepfather and a couple of our friends—including Ryker, Stone, and Zane, who I was introduced to yesterday. They are part of whatever secret society Bishop was involved in, and although they have all been polite and nice, you can feel the darkness surrounding them. Even their good looks can’t hide the danger they emit. And Jesus, they are all attractive. I had briefly wondered if there was some sort of special juju in the waters of Vegas. It would definitely explain why they are all hot. Not in the same league as my man but still otherworldly gorgeous.

I glance around at all our guests, and I have never felt happier in my life—apart from the awful morning sickness I have been suffering with. I knew I should have gotten on the pill when I had the chance. I was naïve to think that I would be okay. After being shot, sex and birth control were the last things on my mind. Or so I thought. A month after the shooting, I was horny, and Bishop was… Bishop. All it took was one time and boom, he knocked me up. Again. At first, I was mad about it but now, I can’t wait for our little one to arrive.

I am ten weeks. Yesterday, we went for a private scan and blood tests to confirm the sex of our baby. We are having a little girl. I would have been happy either way. After all, a child is a gift, but I can admit that I was super excited to find out that we are having a little princess. I know that even though I was mad when I found out I was pregnant that she is meant to be. She will complete our family, and I can’t wait for her arrival.

As for school? After speaking with Dean Goldstein, we came up with a schedule. I will attend classes for a couple hours a week and complete the rest online. It suits me. I’m just grateful that the Dean has been so understanding about my situation and I get to finish school.

“How are you feeling, tesoro?” Mama asks as she sips a glass of champagne.

“Good right now. Morning sickness has been kicking my ass though.” I chuckle.

“You don’t have a bump yet.” She reaches out and strokes my flat stomach.

“I doubt you will need any alterations to your maid of honor dress.” Thalia adds from my other side. We are sitting on the patio in our small garden, enjoying the April sun.

“We are still a few weeks away. I was showing with Baron at twelve weeks.” I grumble.

They both chuckle. “Sweetheart, I am sure the dress will be fine. And if we need to alter it, the seamstress will be joining us in Italy for any changes that need to be made,” Mama reassures me about my sister’s upcoming wedding.

I sigh, opening my mouth to speak when everyone quiets down.

Glancing up, I find Bishop standing, Baron in his arms. I frown, wondering what is going on. Bishop clears his throat, his eyes never leaving mine. “I just want to thank everyone for joining us today to celebrate our new home. It means everything to have our closest friends and family here.” He runs a hand through his hair, suddenly looking nervous. “The housewarming is not the only reason I asked you all here today.” My brows furrow in confusion as he moves around the table and hands something to our son. A board? Stopping in front of me, he looks down with so much love and adoration, I feel it in every part of my body. “Aria Maxwell, princess, you are the love of my life, and I thank everything above for allowing me to keep you. I don’t know how I got so lucky that you chose me, but for some reason, you saw something in me, saw past my hard exterior, and took a chance on me, even when you knew it was wrong.” He huffs a laugh before turning the board in Baron’s tiny hand. My breath hitches in my throat, and gasps break out around me when I see what is written on it.

Mommy, will you take another chance and be Daddy’s wife?

My hand flies to my mouth as tears prick my eyes. Bishop bends to one knee, shifting Baron to the side and holding a velvet box in the other hand. “I know I don’t deserve you. I know every bad thing that has happened to you is because of me.” He chokes on the last words, inhaling a breath as if to recover. His eyes squeezed closed before snapping open with a look of determination. “But I can’t imagine a life without you as my wife. I don’t want a life without you tied to me in every way possible. There are no words to describe adequately how much I love you, princess, so I can only show you. So, will you do me the honor,” he jerks his head to the sign, “take another chance on me, princess, and be my wife?”

Pushing off the chair, I get on my knees in front of my whole world. Pressing a kiss to Baron, I then cup Bishop’s face and brush my lips against his. “Yes. Yes, I will be your wife.”

With his free arm, he pulls me into him and crashes his lips to mine in a searing, claiming kiss.

And I know, I just know, that no matter what we have been through, no matter what we will go through in the future, everything will be okay.

Because I am his, and he is mine.
