Barely able to form the words from how incredible it all felt, I stumbled like a blubbering fool. “Y-yes! Give me it. Please!”

Nikolai chuckled darkly, sinking as far as he could with a sharp buck of his hips. The gasp was torn from my throat before I could stop it. He repeated it several times before his cockiness faltered, and he held me like the end was approaching.

“Think you can finish before I do?”

Nodding wordlessly, I slumped against the wall and let that fuzzy warmth consume me. “Please, Nikolai…. please—”

“I like when you beg,” he cooed, securing both hands against my hips.

The pleading words left my lips like a chant, over and over as Nikolai slammed into me several times. It was all too much, along with the tightening in my gut.

Squeezing my eyes shut, the wave of pleasure crashed over me, and I clenched around him, eliciting a rugged moan from Nikolai.

The force of everything made my vision go completely dark. Like I was having an out-of-body experience, I merely existed in a blissful plane. Heat filled me, and I wilted against the wall.

Nikolai’s final thrust was aimless, holding tight to my body, and he spilled inside of me. His grunt sent another chill down my spine, and he leaned against me, not letting me go even after he was finished.

We stood there panting and out of breath, completely forgetting where we were. Fortunately, it seemed nobody knew what had happened either as the music blared, and the lights never stopped flashing.

Nikolai slid out of me, fully spent, and he turned me around to face him. His lips melded against mine as he let me collapse against him. My legs trembled beneath me, but his hold on me allowed our sensual moment to continue a little while longer.

Nikolai may have been a brute, but he knew every inch of my body like only he had access to the map that gave away my triggers.

No matter how indifferent we were during the day, we were insatiable by night, and I only craved him.

Chapter 13 - Nikolai

Mila’s skin burned beneath mine as I held her against me, helping to keep her upright. Her legs trembled in place, but I wouldn’t let her fall.

She peered up at me, cheeks warm with her wanton glow. I knew we should get going, but she still looked gorgeous, even with her rumpled clothes and disheveled hair. Unable to stop myself, I placed my palm against her cheek and brushed my thumb there in small circles.

There was no denying how unfortunate our circumstances were, but I felt lucky to at least have Mila as my wife. I could’ve been promised to anyone else, and that would feel wrong, knowing I had once been familiar with her perfection.

She aggravated me. Yet, Mila was the mother of my child, and having her by my side didn’t sound quite so terrible.

My mind wandered to Kat then, wondering where she was if Mila was at the club and in my arms. But I knew better. Mila would never leave her unattended. She was a good mother, and she had the potential to be a great wife if I gave her the chance. If I was the husband she deserved.

I had been furious at Ivan for not taking my concerns seriously, and even more embarrassed that Mila had surely heard my scolding. But having had my fill of her seemed to make all my problems disappear.

From the Balakins and Lukin’s men to Ivan’s brutal words, I didn’t care about any of it anymore.

With Mila compliant and mewling in my arms, nothing else seemed to matter.

If she went out looking like that often, I couldn’t bring myself to ream her out for leaving the apartment. She had been here to dance and see me, after all. She wasn’t planning on escaping.

“Here,” I murmured to her, lifting the straps of her dress and helping to straighten her out. I ran my fingers through her hair gently, careful to not ruin the curls. All the while I touched her, Mila simply gazed at me, eyes softened from our time together.

She looked at me with longing rather than distaste or resentment, and I preferred it. It made me want to work harder to gain more of her admiration. To gain her trust and devotion.

It looked better on her, and I could only imagine she liked this side of me better.

“We should get going,” I hummed, gently pulling her away from the wall. I cupped her jaw once again, bringing my lips down to caress hers gently.

Mila melted, reaching for my arm to grip my jacket. I chuckled against her mouth and slipped my hand into hers. Pulling away enough to guide her through the connection of our hands, Mila’s eyes glimmered with longing and a hint of shock.

Mila followed behind me, cooperating with ease. She trailed behind me out of the club, and I gave her hand a small squeeze.

Ducking down to be level with her ear once we reached the front door, I spoke lowly, “The hotel isn’t far from here.”
