She tremulously smiled back, biting her lip. “I want that, but…”

Leaning down, I kissed her until she once again clung to my shoulders, her legs wrapped around me again, as she writhed against my stiff cock. I ran my hand down her side and worked my fingers under her panties, into her wet heat.

She froze. “Aleksei, wait. I have to tell you something.”

I opened my eyes to see her staring almost fearfully, gnawing on her lower lip. I nodded for her to go on. “We can go slow or fast, little one, but I have to have you soon.”

“Yes, okay, but…” she took a deep breath and screwed her eyes shut. “But just so you know, I’m a virgin.”

Holy hell. I knew she was young, but she was no child. I hadn’t been expecting that. She kept her eyes tightly closed, her hands gripping my shirt. “I really want you, but I understand if you stop.”

Of course I should have. Every part of my brain screamed at me to hurry out the door. The age old question was whether or not I’d listen.

Chapter 4 - Theresa

I had no idea how I ended up underneath Aleksei with my legs spread and my dress practically up around my waist. Panting for more of his expert kisses, more of his sure hands all over my body.

Hadn’t he made me want to crack him over the head during the poker game? Who was this guy, all of a sudden being charming, interesting, and focused on my art? If it was all a game to seduce me, he was winning, and I didn’t actually care about scores anyway because I wantedmore.

I had made it to twenty as a virgin for the sole reason that no man ever set me aflame like this before. I had been watching my mother churn through men since I could remember and they mostly seemed inconvenient, demanding, pushy, and overall not worth the time or emotional investment. I had my painting to keep me busy and, once I started selling full time and got hit on and groped by some of the world’s worst lechers, I was really over it.

Aleksei changed all that. For whatever reason, I believed him when he said I was talented, that he loved my work. His questions were probing and sincere. The look in his eyes was worshipful and that alone, coming from a face as gorgeous and perfect as his, would have been hard to resist.

Then there was what waited for me at home. God, what if my mother really was going to make me marry some disgusting old man with a gut and garlic breath? Not one with rock hard abs that felt like a rippling brick wall beneath my fingers, or who tasted like fine liquor. A man who didn’t want to take the time to kiss me all the way down even if I wanted him to. I might actually despise him. He could be cruel and hateful to me, and my mother wouldn’t care as long as it didn’t affect the bottom line. As much as I sometimes daydreamed about running away and striking out on my own, I had far too much family loyalty to actually ever do it. My mother ruthlessly kept most of Boston’s crime elite under her thumb and deep down I respected and admired her dispassionate rule. Sure I wished she treated me even a little differently than all her other minions, but I knew she was training me to take over one day. However, that day was a long time coming, and for now, I had to do as she said. Whatever awful thing that was, including marrying a man I had no feelings for.

Aleksei might be my first and only chance at real passion. His touch thrilled me, made me whimper and shake and grind myself against him, like I was possessed. And I liked it! I wanted more, so much more, and the fact he seemed just as eager only fanned the flames.

I should have kept my mouth shut, but if he found out the hard way and got mad at me, I’d never forgive myself. If he found out and then stopped, I might have died. So I confessed. I still didn’t want him to stop and considered rushing to bar the door, begging on my knees if I had to.

Yeah, that didn’t seem very savory to me, but I wanted this man. This smug, infuriating man was about to make me beg and damn it, I was going to do it if it meant having his hands on me again. Some sinister little part of me thought it seemed kind of hot. I almost slapped him while I waited for him to get over his shock at my confession. He deserved it for making me feel so upside down and sideways, for making me want to beg to give him everything.

“I won’t understand if you stop,” I finally said, unable to stand his eyes burning through me without his tongue in my mouth any longer. “That part was a lie. I need you to keep going.”

He burst out laughing, but his sea blue eyes darkened, and he leaned close. “Shall I teach you more than just the taste of brandy?”

Oh God,yes.

I could only manage a nod as I slid my hands up and over his shoulders, then into his thick, soft hair. I needed this with what I was going home to tomorrow.

The terrible unknown slid away as soon as his tongue parted my lips. Excitement at the new unknown right in front of me made me dig my fingers into his shoulders and grind hard against his throbbing cock. He chuckled and ran his fingers along my thighs, then pulled away again, frowning.

“I can’t take you on this table,” he said. “I’ll get us a room.”

“I have a room.” I took his hand and pulled him toward the door. “Upstairs. Come on.”

He held me close, tugging my tight dress back down around my hips, squeezing my bottom as he ran his hands back up to tangle in my hair. “There’s plenty of time, little one.”

I dragged him down the hall to the elevators. “Just a few minutes ago you said you had to have me soon,” I grumbled.

Inside the elevators, as soon as the doors were shut, he pressed me against the mirrored wall. His lips dragged along my jaw to nuzzle behind my ear. If I hadn’t been pinned between his hard body and the wall, I would have melted to the floor.

“That was before I learned this was your very first time, Theresa,” he murmured, gripping my hips. “Now I’m going to take my time and explore every inch of your body so you know who you belong to afterwards.”

Instead of making me balk, his forceful tone made me wilt against him. My mouth opened at the swipe of his tongue, and my mind went blissfully blank as he kissed me. More like ravaged me, but I couldn’t get enough. The elevator took a hundred years to get to the tenth floor and once it dinged and the doors slid open, he lifted me up, breaking the kiss only long enough to ask which room.

He took my key card from my trembling hands and swiped it, and seconds later we were tumbling onto the big, soft bed. I strained for him as he knelt above me, his eyes sweeping me.

“Aleksei,” I said, reaching for his shirt and fumbling with the buttons.
