I laughed. “Maybe. I think you just make me hot. Now stop worrying and let me fuck you.”

“Whatever you say,” she sighed happily. God, I loved seeing her happy.

‘That’s right. Whatever I say.”

Her eyes closed as she held on tight to my hips while I rode her. “Don’t get carried away. Actually, I take that back. Yes, get carried away.”

I leaned close to her, resting my head against her shoulder. “Tell me something I want to hear,” I commanded.

“This feels amazing,” she answered.

“Something else.”

“I love your cock.”

I snickered, pushing hard and deep, enjoying her gasp of pleasure. “Something else.”

She finally gave me what I wanted. “I love you,” she whispered.

“That’s better.” It was my turn to laugh when she swatted my ass. “I love you, too, Kira. So God damn much.”

I could feel the plane pressure changing. We were slowly losing altitude, and I knew any minute the flight attendant would yell for us to buckle up, not daring to come into the cabin. As much as I wanted this moment to last forever, I was secure in knowing there would be a lifetime of them ahead of us.

I raised my head to capture her gaze, my thrusts picking up speed. As I was about to lose the last shred of control, she wrapped her hand behind my neck and yanked me down for a searing kiss.

“Make me yours, Yuri.”

With a roar against her mouth, I shot my seed deep inside her, her spasms sucking me dry and her cries mingled with mine. I collapsed against her with a jolt and she held on tight before slowly stroking my back. Regretfully, I got up before we got reprimanded, and tossed her clothes to her.

“Buckle up,” I said.

She laughed a bit nervously and after we were dressed, I settled in beside her and took her hand. “What’s next?” she asked.

I pulled her head to my chest and leaned back in the seat. “We go home, my love.”

Chapter 24 - Kira

One month later

I turned in a circle, admiring myself in the full length mirror. I looked strong and capable in the crisp, form fitting black suit and high heeled pumps that Theresa helped me pick out last week for this occasion. The swelling of bruises had completely gone down and carefully applied makeup covered the last traces of yellow that still lingered around my jaw.

I let my pleased smile drop and gave myself a more stern look, softening it just a little. That was perfect. I wanted to be fair, but also needed to have an iron spine for what I was about to do. There were still several of my father’s men left in Miami who wanted to pledge loyalty to the Morozovs. The Morozovs agreed to show mercy on them, but they were rudderless since my father had been “mysteriously murdered” in Russia by a rival family. Things in Moscow were on edge. No one wanted to take responsibility or blame, though everyone was delighted he was gone, even if they refused to admit it.

I had gotten in contact with the members of his crew who I felt I could trust to discuss how we might deal with our holdings there. I didn’t want to give anything up in Moscow, but my father’s people were running roughshod over the city without any leadership.

I meant to change that.

Six of the men I offered a chance to meet with me in Miami accepted my invitation, and we were going to convene with my father’s remaining people today.

My people now.

Evelina looked up from her phone to grin at me, still admiring my reflection in the mirror. She whistled appreciatively. “No will dare cross you looking that tough.”

Ever since she and her brother joined us in Miami, she had become one of my best friends. Leo was already deep in various jobs for Yuri’s brothers, and Evelina was just enjoying the sand and sun and rich nightlife the city offered. I was going to miss her when she left for New York in a few weeks on some mysterious errand she refused to talk about but was clearly looking forward to.

“They better not dare to cross me,” I said, smoothing my jacket lapels and wondering if I should wear the pretty aquamarine pin that Yuri bought me a week ago, for no reason other than he loved me.

I took the sparkling pin out of my jewelry box and put it on. It would make me feel close to him, the stone the deep, clear blue of his eyes, and a symbol of how he felt, close to my heart.
