The rideback to the airport is spent on the computer online shopping at Georgetown stores.

“I’ll have everything delivered tomorrow, and give you my card when you’re done shopping,” Greg says from the front seat.

I freeze, sighing when I remember that I can’t use my cards. “Fuck, can I at least transfer the money to your account?” I groan.

“Housewarming present,” he counters and I frown, starting to pull things out of my cart. “Lennon, I swear to God, if you’re removing things from your cart, I’ll have Roark spank you!”

Roark snickers, and I glance at his twitching fingers and wince. “Fuck me,” I mutter.

“Anytime, baby girl,” he rumbles and I roll my eyes.

“Greg, this is way too generous, and I have the money to pay for this,” I tell him.

“That’s not the point. It’s Christmas next week, and I want to do something nice,” Greg says.

“I thought this was a housewarming present, boss,” Derek teases him, getting flicked off for his efforts.

I smirk, because I’m actually enjoying myself. Before I know it, I’ve finalized my order, and we’re arriving at the airport. For some reason, the traffic was worse coming back to Rochester.

“Alright, the rental place will pick up the car from here,” Jordan says as he pulls up to our plane. “I’m leaving my brother to rot in jail for the rest of the week, and Layla and the band are getting all of the following week off so they’ll be able to spend most of their time catching up with you.”

Getting out of the car, I grin, because I’m really excited for that. “Mav and Atlas must be loving not working as much,” I laugh. “You’re spoiling them, and I’m so here for it.”

Jordan shrugs as he follows us to board the plane. “They’re a better fit forThe Velvet Escapehonestly than Leo and Albert. I’m terminating their contract because they’re still being overbearing and shitty with Layla. It’s either that, or letting Mav and Atlas beat the shit out of them.”

Settling into my seat on the plane, I shrug. “I’m sure you’ll make sure they can’t say anything about Layla when you cut them loose. I don’t think they’ll talk shit about her, but I want her protected,” I tell him.

I’ve been dragged through the mud enough by the tabloids to know that if I can protect her from that, I will.

Jordan nods as he sits across from me. “Trust me, they won’t be able to say a word about her,” he assures me.

Smiling, I snuggle up in the huge chairs next to Roark and nap on his shoulder for the entire flight to South Carolina.

“Lennon, did you know you snore?” Orion teases me as I grab the bag in front of me to get off the plane.

“Only when I’m really drunk, or in a weird position,” I tell him with a wink.

Pulling me to him, he growls, “It’s fucking adorable. I’m eager to learn all of the cute things you do.”

“Oye, there’s a fooking lot of cute things that she does. Be prepared to get lost in our girl,” Roark says, but this time it feels as if he’s including Orion in this.

The sun is beginning to set, and I know that I probably won’t be able to sleep much later. Oh well, I’ll find a way to wile away the time.

“Greg!” A redheaded tiny woman squeals in excitement as Greg steps off the staircase and onto the asphalt before leaping into his arms.

I recognize Tori now, even though it’s been too long since I’ve seen her in person. I give them privacy as she starts to cry, and Greg soothes her. He’s been away a long time, and I’m happy to return him home. I feel bad that all of my bullshit has been taking so much of his time.

Grabbing my luggage with the guys, I laugh when Turner takes it from me and Derek takes my backpack.

“Guys, I swear I can handle taking my own bags,” I tell them, rolling my eyes, but quietly loving it. I feel taken care of and loved, even if I am becoming a badass in my own right.

“They won’t let you do anything,” Tori says, walking over with Greg. “I think it’s adorable how well they love you.”

Greg rolls his eyes. “We spoil you too, woman. We fucked up a lot in the beginning, but we figured it out.”

Tori grins, her tears nowhere to be found outside of a slight redness in the whites of her eyes. “Yeah…”

“A lot is a huge exaggeration!” Turner yells over his shoulder.
