“Swimming,” I said.
“Boring,” Jason teased. “I think we should play a little game… what do you say?”
“What do you have in mind?” Snow asked.
“How about some good, old-fashioned truth or dare?”
I cocked an eyebrow and studied Snow’s expression. I wanted to make sure she was comfortable with whatever we were throwing at her.
“That sounds like fun,” she said.
“We can always say no if we’re not comfortable,” I added, wanting to be sure Snow didn’t feel pressured.
Jason let out a low groan but didn’t protest. I knew he was a good guy, otherwise we wouldn’t be friends. He would never push anyone too far or to the point where they were uncomfortable. I just wanted to throw it out there, especially after what had happened last night.
“Snow goes first,” Jason said.
“Alright.” She looked back and forth between the two of us, and surprised me when she said, “Anthony, truth or dare?”
“Truth,” I said, wanting to start somewhat tamely.
“Have you ever wanted to hook up with a guest before?”
“Before today?” I teased her. She smiled. “No, honestly, I don’t pay too much attention to guests typically.”
“He keeps to himself a lot,” Jason agreed.
“Yeah, it’s usually just me and my laptop. Once people start to arrive at the pool, I head back to my cottage until everyone is heading to the club for the night. I pick the quieter times to work out here.”
“So no one has ever caught your eye before?” Snow asked.
“Not until you, no.” I couldn’t believe I was so bold, so I added, “But again, I try to keep my interactions with the guests to a minimum to avoid distractions.”
“Distractions like what we’re doing right now?” she asked with a playful nibble of her lip.
“Exactly,” I laughed. “But I feel like you just cheated, that was actually three questions.”
I winked at her and said, “My turn then… Snow, truth or dare?”
She floated on her back as she pondered the question. “Hmmm, let’s start with truth.”
I didn’t really have a question in mind, so I had to think for a second. Finally, I settled on, “What is one thing you’ve always wanted to do that your father would roll over in his grave if he found out about?”
She laughed. “That’s pretty much anything besides go to church or study, but I’ll try to be creative here.” She stopped floating and turned toward me with a smile. “What if I said, I’ve always wanted to have sex in a body of water?”
“Mmm well I wasn’t expecting it to get spicy so fast,” I said as I wondered if that was a hint.
“What can I say? I surprise even myself sometimes,” she said. She stood up, her back against the corner of the pool as she turned to Jason. “Your turn, Jason. Truth or dare?”
“I’m feeling a bit frisky now, after that comment, so I think I’ll go with a dare.”
“Ooh this is going to be fun,” Snow said, rubbing her hands together in glee. “Take off your shorts and run a lap around the pool naked.”
The pool was clothing optional, so it was completely allowed. “Except no running, please,” I said.
“Fine, just walk then,” Snow replied, her eyes sparkling. “It’ll give me more time to enjoy the view.”
I knew Jason would have no problem with the dare, at all. He frequently ran around naked in the clothing optional parts of the resort. He seemed to enjoy it. He was grinning like an idiot as he swam toward the stairs.
