However, fear continues to settle over me the closer we get to the jet. I keep thinking on the uncertainty of my future, the beatings, the torture, the emotional and verbal assaults. Not to mention what my father will do if he finds out I’m pregnant. It's all just too much. The safety I've known with Antonio is ripped away just like that, leaving me and the child we created completely defenseless.

"We’re being taken to my father."

"I'm afraid so," Helen says, a tear rolling off her cheek.

I close my eyes, unable to stop myself from crying, too. I pray that Antonio will find a way to save our child. He or she is what is most important. There’s not a doubt in my mind that if my husband doesn’t get here soon, my father will kill me.

I glance over at Helen.

And probably my best friend too...

I throw a chair across my office, watching it smash against the wall. I'm out of control, I know it. Yet, I feel so damn helpless.

"You tell me how some son of a bitch took my wife and her friend to my motherfucking private airfield and was allowed to take off in a plane without my fucking permission. Someone fucking explain it to me because I don’t understand!" I growl. Leaning on the desk, my hands in fists as I try to resist the urge to punch someone—any-fucking-one.

Niko stands still, not looking a bit intimidated. He's pissed, just as much as I am, but he's being more level-headed. I guess that proves he's the right guy to be my second in command.

Then again, if I had Melina safe at home—like Emilia is—I'd be calmer too. Hell, I'd be able to breathe. My lungs have been burning ever since I discovered she wasn't in the panic room. I’m completely raw inside. The only thing keeping me going right now is adrenaline and rage. That's not the combination I need to find my woman. Fear has me in a chokehold.

"Apparently, Marco had two more turncoat brothers at the airport. They must have been hiding on the plane. They took out the men stationed there.”

I looked at the video, Aden and Elias were the ones there. Aden was running the show," Marco says. "He's the one that is most like Atlas. They're twins in just about every way."

"Fuck," I hiss.

Atlas was the son of a bitch that I killed at the club. I’m happy the bastard died. We lost two men which stings. Still, it could have been worse. Mack, Stone, and Levi will all pull through. If I had Melina in my arms, I’d call it a win.

Marco is turning into a great find. I should relax a bit around him, but that’s not possible. I have no idea how someone so sweet and pure as Melina could come from this twisted family. What I do know is that these sadistic motherfuckers have my wife and there’s no way to get to her before her father has a chance to hurt her. I have to save her.

I have to.

"Aden and Elias signed their death warrants," I snarl. That’s the only warning Marco will get.

I watch as the man in question scrubs a hand through his hair, broadcasting his frustration.

“Elias is a wildcard. He doesn't want to upset our father. He has more reason for that than the rest of us, but he won't let them hurt Melina or Helena.”

"Bullshit! That pig of a father of yours gets a hold of the women, he will hurt them," I bark. "I have no doubt about that."

"It’s possible he knew my father would take them and is trying to help her as long as possible. I'm not saying I'm close to him, but he's not like the twins. I can promise you that."

"What about Gio and Sebastian?" I ask. “Where are they in all this?” I keep asking questions, looking for hope. I also need something to focus on instead of the gaping hole that has opened in my chest.

"I put a call out to Gio. He couldn't talk much. He said they would protect her, but we need to move fast. He said something about Doyle Kelly's men arriving there in a few days and he and Sebastian were being watched."

"We need to beat those motherfuckers there."

"What are we going to do?" Niko asks.

I shrug as the wheels in my mind turn until something concrete comes to me.

"We're going to offer them a trade. My woman—"

Marco interjects. "And mine."

I nod. "Our women for Doyle."
