Cole’s hand moved to the back of my head, deepening the kiss. My first kiss with Rhys was soft and gentle, becoming more aggressive with each flick of his tongue. But with Cole, it was like our tongues were dancing.

We were in sync, moving in harmony, melting into each other’s arms. He captured each of my moans, helping Rhys get me to the finish line again.

And by the time our lips separated, I was panting. “I’ve wanted to do that for a long time.”

He sighed, holding me tight. “Me, too.”

COLE

Icouldn’t believe I just didthat. Withthem. Rhys had a way of getting under my skin and making me do things outside my comfort zone. I’d never even shared a woman with my best friends.

I felt so out of control, anxiety tearing through my chest. Order calmed me and gave me a sense of peace. And at that moment, I felt anything but at ease.

When the gondola reached the bottom, Rhys helped Grace down to the landing and led her to the confession stand. I chased after them, still unable to catch my breath from mentally freaking the fuck out.

“I’m starving.” Rhys rubbed his flat stomach over his shirt. “I worked up an appetite eating your pussy.” He glanced at Grace and winked. “What do you want, princess?”

“Ummm…” She rocked back and forth on her heels, staring at the menu. “Funnel cake sounds good. What is it?”

Rhys pointed at the fried pastry covered with powdered sugar.

She licked her lips. “Yeah, I want one of those.”

Rhys angled his body to look at me. “Marshall?”

“Hot dog,” I told him.

What the fuck was going on with us? This was so out of character for Rhys and me. We didn’t act like friends. We didn’t even hang out together at the academy.

I kissed Grace.

I touched Grace.

While Rhys watched.

Fuck.

If Rhys told anyone, I would be in deep shit. My father had warned me dozens of times about crossing the line. He constantly reminded me of what our family had at stake.

And it wasn’t just us.

Fitzy would punish Drake since he was my cousin. He would also take it out on the Salvatores, who had not yet been admitted into The Founders Society. As the leaders of The Devil’s Knights, they were responsible for my behavior. I swore to uphold the oath in front of Fitzy and the Knights.

I couldn’t do that again.

Not with Rhys.

Not with Grace.

Rhys ordered three fountain sodas, two hot dogs, and a funnel cake. As they cooked the cake, he leaned against the counter.

“Cheer up, Marshall.” He winked. “I’m not going to tell anyone.”

I wanted to murder him.

Teeth clenched, I glared at the bastard. “You’re just as guilty as me.”
