I slipped my fingers between Cole’s and moved our joined hands to my thigh. “After tonight, I want to finish the list more than anything. I could be halfway around the world with my dad in a few weeks. I’ll never get a chance to experience life this way. Don’t you see that you and Rhys aren’t taking anything from me? You’re giving me a life I have wanted for years. And even if it’s only for a few weeks, at least it’s something.”

“But…”

“No, buts, Cole. I want whatever this is between the three of us.”

He glanced at Rhys and sighed. “You want both of us?”

I was attracted to them for different reasons. With Cole, it was those caring, loving moments between us. I could see how much he wanted to protect me because he didn’t just show me with words. He was a man of action.

Rhys was fun and brought out another side of me—a wild, adventurous girl who felt free and alive. I became a different person with him, and I liked it.

I nodded. “Is that so bad? I doubt I’m the first woman to have feelings for two men.”

“We’re not supposed to touch you,” Cole said after an awkward pause. “Rhys knows it. I know it.”

“But that didn’t stop you on the Ferris wheel,” I pointed out.

“Stop overthinking everything.” Rhys reached over to tap Cole’s shoulder. “Just go with the flow, Marshall. It won’t kill you.”

He narrowed his eyes at Rhys. “You’re okay with this? Sharing a woman with me? We don’t even like each other.”

His broad shoulders rose a few inches. “We both want her. I can play nice if you can. And it’s not like anyone will find out. So get out of your head and relax.”

After that, Cole didn’t protest and led me to the bedroom, and the three of us got into the bed. Sandwiched between Cole and Rhys, we lay on a king-size mattress in the dark. We couldn’t risk turning on lights in an abandoned building. They didn’t want to draw too much attention to this place.

It was so quiet I could only hear the sound of our breathing. I grabbed their hands, needing to feel them. After what we went through tonight, I sought comfort in their warmth. Cole’s hands were rougher than Rhys’s, the pads of his fingers calloused.

“Feeling better, princess?”

I nodded. “But I’m still worried about those men finding me.”

“I don’t care if we have to leave the country.” Cole rolled onto his side. “I’m not letting anyone near you.”

Comforted by his words, I smiled. “Thank you, Cole.”

“Wherever you go,” Rhys said, his lips inches from mine. “I’ll follow.”

After our scare with the Russians, Rhys was even nicer than usual. Not like he was mean. But he usually had something nasty to say to Cole, and he seemed to enjoy getting under his skin. The three of us had come together as a unit tonight.

It was nice.

“When can we go back to Fort Marshall?”

“Tomorrow,” Cole replied, his hand holding mine on the mattress. “Sonny will come back for us in the morning. That should be enough time to get rid of the Russians.”

“How do you know that?” I gulped down the bile rising from my stomach. “There could be more men waiting for us.”

“They had the advantage tonight,” Cole told me. “We didn’t know they were waiting for us and couldn’t plan.” He squeezed my hand. “It’s been a long night. You should get some sleep.”

“I’m too awake to fall asleep.”

“Me too.” Rhys turned me to face him and put my leg over the top of his, running his fingers up and down my thigh. “But I have a few ideas to help us fall asleep faster.”

Cole groaned beside me. “Do you ever think with anything but your dick, Vanderbilt?”

“Occasionally.” Rhys snickered. “But when Grace is around? No, not really.” He sucked my bottom lip into his mouth. “Her pussy is all I can think about.”

“Which is why you make a terrible bodyguard,” Cole muttered. “We just got chased through Beacon Bay, and you’re thinking about getting your dick wet. You’re un-fucking-believable.”
