“How do you feel?”

I kissed Cole’s lips. “Sore. But it felt good.”

He dipped his hand between my thighs and massaged my clit. “Did I hurt you?”

“No,” I whispered before sucking his bottom lip into my mouth.

Once our lips separated, Cole hopped off the bed and entered the bathroom. He returned a few seconds later with a warm washcloth and dabbed it between my thighs, cleaning me up. No one took care of me like Cole. When he said he would die for me, kill for me, he meant every word.

Cole got a little possessive and curled my body into his. “It’s time for bed.” He tucked my head beneath his chin, holding me against his chest, and whispered, “I hope you remember this night forever, Grace. I know I will.”

I will never forget it.

ChapterTwenty-Two

COLE

Iwoke up to my cell phone ringing and rolled onto my side to grab it from the nightstand. Drake never called this late unless it was an emergency. Either that or he made another breakthrough with one of his inventions.

“Cole,” Drake bit out before I could say hello. “It’s Alex. Her mom kidnapped her from the Salvatore Estate.”

I shot straight up from the mattress as if it were made of fire ants and flicked on the lamp beside the bed.

Alex hadn’t contacted her parents since her grandfather adopted her. She wasn’t always a Wellington. The Queen of the Devil’s Knights was born Alexandrea Fox and didn’t come to Devil’s Creek until six years ago.

Drake sighed. “Her fucking mom. Can you believe this shit?”

I stepped into my boxer briefs. “How did she find her?”

“The Salvatore brothers think Savanna Fox made a copy of the skeleton key before Carl Wellington exiled her from Devil’s Creek.”

All five founding families could easily access everything from The Devil’s Knights’ temple to the last house on Founders Way with one key. Of course, we would never invade each other’s privacy without reason, but Savanna wasn’t a founder anymore and wanted revenge for losing everything.

“Vanderbilt, get up!” I shouted.

Grace turned over, her naked body wrapped in a sheet, and rubbed her eyes. “What’s going on?”

I told Rhys and Grace about Alex’s kidnapping.

“No.” She gasped. “Someone kidnapped my cousin’s girlfriend?”

Rhys was out of bed and grabbed her clothes from the floor. “Get dressed, Grace.” He helped her tie the bikini top back into place before lowering the tank top over her head.

I put Drake on speaker and pulled on a shirt. “Do you have any leads on Alex?”

“We’re tracking the chip in her engagement ring,” Drake said, moving away from a group of men talking in the background. “She’s on her way to the Il Circo auction.”

“Alex is engaged?” I asked. “To which brother?”

“All of them,” Drake said in a hushed tone. “I’ll explain later.”

The Salvatore diamond had a tracking chip and was worn by their mother before her death fifteen years ago.

“Sonny is on his way,” Drake told me. “He should be there any minute.”

“Is Alex’s mom working with the Russians?” I asked Drake.

“No,” he grunted into the receiver. “The Sicilian Mafia.”
