What the hell am I doing?

I try to play it off like I’m just repositioning, but apparently, I’m not fooling anyone.

I feel him lean over me. Goosebumps cover my skin as he whispers, “If you want to see it, all you have to do is ask.”

My breath hitches in my throat as I try to keep my composure.

He finishes helping me line up my shot, and with his hands guiding me the whole time, I manage to knock a ball in.

“Good job, beautiful,” he says before standing up.

Immediately, I miss his hands touching me. Maybe the alcohol is hitting me a little harder than I thought because my mind is flashing with thoughts of going to bed with this guy.

After Tanner stands behind me to help me make another shot, I turn around to look at him.

“How old are you?” I ask, a little scared to know the answer.

“Twenty-five.”

Hm. Not quite as young as I thought but still not great.

“Aren’t you going to ask how old I am?” I ask as he lines up his own shot.

“Nope. My momma always taught me it was rude to ask a woman that question.” He shoots me a wink.

“It doesn’t bother you that I’m older than you?” I ask, glutton for punishment.

“Not even a little bit. Age is just a number.”

Oh man, he’s good. Deciding to jump on board, I’m going to see where this wild night takes me. Sipping my margarita that the waitress dropped off, I buckle up to enjoy the ride.

Chapter Four

Tanner

WhenIsawErincoming to join me at the pool tables, I was pleasantly surprised. When she was shaking her ass on me while I was helping her with a shot, I was straight shocked.

Not only is she gorgeous, but she has a little naughtiness in her.

I like it.

As we take turns in pool, she asks, “So, do you just come here by yourself and hustle people in pool?”

I laugh. “My brother was here earlier, but his girlfriend called and wanted to meet up, so he left pretty quick. We just sometimes come here to blow off some steam. I just got back into town.”

“Oh?”

“Yeah, I travel a lot for work. Usually, I’m gone for a week or two at a time.”

“That must be hard,” she says.

“Eh, it’s not so bad. It makes me appreciate being home more.”

“Sorry your brother ran out on you.”

“It’s alright. I think I got the better end of the deal,” I tell her, and she gives me a cute smile.

As I take my next shot, I ask, “So, where’d you learn to sing like that?”
