“My husband…”

“We’ll get you both to the hospital. Where’s the man who did this?”

“He left,” Mrs. Harris rubbed her wrists, her gaze narrowing on Bram. “Who are you?”

“I’m Addie’s man. Bram O’Donovan.”

“Her man?” The woman’s eyebrows went up as she looked at him. “You’re the father of her baby.”

It was up to Addie to share the news on the twins. He nodded.

The woman got a pinched look on her face. “You left her.”

“It was a misunderstanding. I’m never leaving her again.”

The woman glanced at the others on the team.

“Mrs. Harris, Addie is mine.” He waited until she looked back at him. “I will protect her and give her whatever she wants.”

The older woman shook her head. “The girl was always dreaming. She wanted to dance. She wanted a man who’d love her.”

“Dreams do come true sometimes. Now, Kozlov…”

“That’s the bastard’s name?” Mr. Harris said, voice wobbly.

Bram nodded. “He’s obsessed with Addie.”

Addie’s mother shuddered. “He left about an hour ago.”

“Nope, hour and a half,” Mr. Harris said.

“It was an hour, Harold,” she snapped. Then she met Bram’s gaze. “He said he was going to get her, and that we’d never see her again.”

A chill ran through Bram, and he straightened. “Hex, call Ric.”

“Okay,” Hex responded. “Hang on.”

The others all tensed, watching and waiting.

“No answer,” Hex said.

Bram pulled out his phone and pressed the button for Addie.

Her phone rang and rang.

Fuck.

He charged for the door. “Kozlov has Addie!”

* * *

Addie triedto play a few games on her phone, then she set it down with a huff. She’d played cards with Ric for a bit, but it was clear that she was terrible at it, and she couldn’t focus.

She rose and paced the aisle of the jet.

She was too worried. About her parents. About the Sentinel Security team. About Bram.

“It will be over soon, babies.” She rubbed circles on her stomach and felt a little kick. “Daddy will be back soon.”
