“I know.”

Killian nodded. “Let’s do this.”

The other SUV was right behind them, and they all stopped at the location Devyn had picked.

Everyone got out, all dressed the same as Bram. Hex opened the trunk of her SUV, and opened her box containing her drone. She opened a laptop.

“I have the drone ready to go, but I can’t risk a flyover of the cabin. I don’t want to alert Kozlov by getting the drone too close.”

Killian frowned. “Get it in the air, but stay back for now.”

Hex nodded. “Go bring our girl home.”

A second later, there was a whirr of sound as the drone flared to life and lifted into the air. Hex was focused on the laptop, controlling the device as it disappeared into the sky.

Matteo, Nick, and Shade went in one direction, disappearing into the trees. Devyn, Killian, Bram, and Boone, along with Atlas, moved off in another. They moved quickly through the trees.

The trees were dense, and everything was green and crisp.

Bram gripped his rifle and breathed deeply. Addie was close. He had to stay in control.

They trudged up a hill and startled a large hare. It hopped off into the bushes.

“Here,” Devyn said.

They all crouched at the crest of the hill. The lake glinted down below, and Bram spotted a floatplane and a small boat resting beside a small dock.

The cabin was made of logs, with a simple design and deck on one side. Atlas made a low sound.

A guard appeared, circling the cabin, a rifle on his shoulder. He was smoking a cigarette.

It didn’t look like he was expecting trouble.

“There’s a second guard closer to the lake,” Devyn murmured.

Bram moved his head and saw the other man. He had a ball cap on his head.

Two guards and Kozlov.

“Hex, heat signatures?” Killian asked through his earpiece.

“I can’t get too close,” Hex responded. “But it looks like two outside and two inside.”

“We need to confirm she’s here,” Killian said.

Bram stared at the cabin and lifted a pair of binoculars. There were curtains on some windows. He couldn’t see anyone.

Come on, Kozlov.

“There’s a door opening to the side deck,” Hex said suddenly.

Bram swiveled the binoculars and saw Ilya Kozlov appear. His pulse jumped.

There you are, asshole.

The man was talking to someone inside, then he yanked a woman out of the cabin.

Addie.
