“I’m not an idiot, baby. She wants to fuck you. As does every other woman we come into contact with. If I got upset by that, I’d spend my entire life worrying.”

“You’re not even remotely jealous, are you?”

Her eyes light up as she smiles. “Not even a teensy bit.”

Fuck, that’s hot.

“Why?”

She licks her lips, pulling my attention to her mouth.

I track the movement, adjusting myself in the process, because every fucking thing she does is sexy.

She giggles and twirls her finger as she points at me. “Because of that right there. You would never do anything I didn’t say you could do. Hell, you were loyal to me for a decade, and we weren’t even together.”

I lean back in my chair and close my eyes. “I am pretty great.”

She giggles as she snuggles in closer. “No, you’re in love. And I trust it. I trustus.”

With my head still on the headrest, I open my eyes and drop my head to the side so I can look into her eyes. “I trust us too. And you’re right. I am in love. Head over heels in love with my wife.”

“You love saying that.” Her tone is light, teasing. Her smile unbidden.

The plane accelerates as we stare at each other with stupid smiles on our faces. I love being stupid with this woman. It’s an underrated emotion. Everyone wants to be intelligent, important. But being stupid with Cat is the best feeling in the world.

That’s true wealth.

Not a private plane. Not the ability to purchase anything and everything.

Moments where I can just be silly and feel pure joy with the person I love the most.

And after years of living as the wealthiest poor man in existence, I’m going to revel in the stupid.

“If I were a jealous woman, right about now, I’d be sinking to my knees and making it clear who you belong to,” Cat says as Lindsay and Cara dart glances in our direction again. It’s a shame I’m going to have to fire them, but disrespecting my wife is an infraction too far.

“They don’t deserve your attention, Kitten. But I’d definitely welcome your hot mouth wrapped around my cock right about now.”

Her naughty laugh hits the skin on my neck as she sucks on my throat. “Please tell me there’s a bedroom on this thing. I’m not about bathroom sex, even if it’s with you.”

I’m out of my seat with Cat in my arms before the last word leaves her mouth. The jealous stares follow us as I coast by. “And to think, if they had been nice, I would have let them play with you,” I growl in her ear.

“They don’t want me, baby.”

I hit her with a pointed look. “Everyone wants you, Catherine. I am a jealous man, though, and I’m not embarrassed to admit it.”

Cat presses her fingers against my face as I open the door to the bedroom, holding me in place. “You never have anything to be jealous of.” Her voice is soft, pleading.

“I read your article, Kitten.”

She bites her lip.

The article she wrote over the summer was edgy, smart, and honest. She interviewed couples, married for different lengths of time, all who made the choice to open up their marriages in different ways. Some only liked to watch others, and some actively participated.

Cat simply wrote about their experiences, but she didn’t elaborate on her opinion. That’s the beauty of her writing, though. She lets others shine. She’s a storyteller.

But because of that, I have no idea what her impression was. Is it something she wants? More?

I’ll never say no, but I’m not sure how I feel about saying yes.
