“Oh, really?” I asked. “Do you have a special kind of membership plan or what?”

“You’ll see,” Dylan smirked at me.

Eventually, the car rolled to a stop and the driver opened the door for me.

My mouth hung open as I took in the sight in front of me. “Are you kidding me?” I said to Dylan. Standing in front of us was a massive private jet.

“Told you,” he grinned. “I don’t need to buy tickets.”

He gestured to follow him up the steps of the plane. I felt like I had to pinch myself because none of this felt real.

Is this how Dylan traveled everywhere?

I was not accustomed to traveling on the plane a lot, let alone a private jet. I had always dreamed of traveling around the world visiting different countries, but with a tight budget trying to make a living, heavy workload, plus an ex-boyfriend who was always too clingy, it never happened.

“It’s a short, two-hour flight,” Dylan informed me as we made our way inside the jet. “There’s a bed available for you to sleep in if you want. Otherwise, you can always watch a movie or whatever.”

The interior of the plane was stunning. I ran my hand over the luxurious cream-colored leather recliners.

“Oh, and one more thing,” Dylan said.

I snapped my head up to look at him. What could it be now? This day was already shaping up to be one of the craziest days in my life and Dylan looked so relaxed and collected, as if it was an everyday routine for him.

“My mother is quite particular about fashion,” he said.

I immediately felt self-conscious about my clothing choice for the day. I was dressed in a pair of blue boyfriend jeans and a black Calvin Klein T-shirt with a white pair of sneakers. It was hardly a sign of high fashion.

“Don’t worry,” Dylan reassured me as if he had just read my mind. “I took care of it already.”

He pointed over to a rack of clothes that was full of gorgeous dresses. I looked through them, one by one, and my jaw nearly dropped to the floor.

“I don’t think some of these dresses are even out to the public yet,” I said, unable to hide my amazement. “How in the world did you get access to them so early?”

Dylan shrugged. “Let’s just say it pays to know the right people. Pick whatever you like, but dress more formally. My mom likes that.”

I nodded. As I picked out what outfit I was going to wear, my mind began to wander. What would it be like if Dylan and I were dating in real life?

It was no secret that he lived a life of luxury. Just seeing the profits on some of the deals closed by his company these last two weeks, I knew that he made more than enough to live comfortably. But witnessing him live that life was a completely different experience. It was captivating to say the least.

When I was done picking out a dress, I went back to where Dylan was seated. He was reclined comfortably in his seat with a glass of champagne in his hands.

“Do you want some?” he asked, tilting his glass over to me.

I shook my head. When I met him at the bar, he had seemed too normal and down to earth. I would have never imagined that he lived a life that was as extraordinary as this. Noticing me lost in my thoughts, Dylan nudged me lightly.

“Hey, I don’t want you to worry too much. My mom’s a sweet woman and she won’t do anything that’ll make you feel out of place,” he said to me.

I nodded slowly. “I was just hoping you made the right choice in picking your pretend girlfriend.”

He simply raised an eyebrow at me in response and then spoke in a tone that made goosebumps go down my spine.

“Trust me, my process of selection was very thorough.”

I couldn’t hide the blush on my face even if I tried.

Dylan’s parents lived in a huge mansion. When we walked into the large oak doors, we were greeted immediately by a warm, smiling face.
