"You're alright!" I sit up and wriggle away from his arm, embarrassed that I let myself fall asleep when I was supposed to be taking care of him.

But before I can pull away, Lucian leans down and kisses me.

I'm startled, but this time I don't pull away. I melt in his arms and let myself be swept up in the moment. I tilt my head up and press my lips against his, gently pushing my tongue into his slightly parted mouth until it meets his. I want this moment to last forever.

The kiss turns into a tangle of tongues and limbs, and suddenly Lucian is on top of me. I wrap my arms around him. For a fleeting second, I wonder what it's like to make love to a werewolf, a question I'll know the answer to soon enough, because Lucian gently peels the clothes away from my body and tosses them into the corner of the room. I do the same, pulling his shirt over his head and letting my fingers trace the deep crevasses of muscle that comprise his chest. There are no more cuts or gashes, only the taut skin and sinewy divots of his physique.

We don't speak; the only sound in the room is our collective labored breathing and the fevered pounding of my heart that is so violent I swear is audible to the naked ear. Lucian eases his pants over his hips and then off his body, and I stifle an excited gasp when his engorged and massive cock rests against my thigh. I urge my body against his, letting him know that it's okay to keep going, and with my next breath, he steadily pushes into me.

The moan that escapes my lips is one of sheer pleasure as he fills the space within me. Every push and pull of his body in mine sends a tremor of sensation through me that has me trembling in his arms as he holds me. Lucian kisses my mouth before lowering his lips to kiss the top of my breasts. I'm in heaven and know that anyone who ever thought a werewolf was a mere beast was sadly mistaken. Lucian is nothing short of a god. I've never felt this enticed and pleasured, and all I want is to make love to Lucian forever, to draw out each sensation to its fullest. I want the moment to last, but eventually neither of us can resist coming undone.

In the climactic moment, I feel a rush of magic sweep over me, as if my powers are suddenly joining me in a momentary loss of control. But I don't think anything of it. I'm too swept up in this moment of utopian bliss, enraptured by Lucian, and basking in the afterglow of the best moment of my life.

"That wasincredible," Lucian says as he pulls my head onto his chest. "I've wanted to do that since the moment I saw you."

"That doesn't sound remotely creepy coming from someone who sat outside my bedroom window and stared at me while I slept," I tease.

For a second, he looks mortified, so I quickly lean up and kiss him on the cheek.

"It wasbeyondincredible," I smile. "And I want to do it again."

Lucian grins and I can feel a resurgence of his swelling desire against my side. But I don't get a chance to touch that part of him again, because suddenly a noise comes from the other room. It sounds like crumbling brick. Lucian jumps to his feet to investigate.

There shouldn't be anyone else here. Gregory and Renna left hours ago. So, what is making that noise in the other room?

I get up too and follow out of the bedroom. If there are vampires here, he'll shift, and I'll douse the intruders with magic before they know what hit them.

But when we enter the living room, we're met not by the sight of vampires, butflowers and plants. A giant garden has cropped up out of nowhere, with vines crawling up the walls and through the floors.

Lucian stands there looking shocked.

"What the hell—"

But I know why this happened.

"I think I may have accidentally lost control of my magic when we made love," I say quietly, feeling embarrassed.

"You did all of this?" he asks, looking at me in surprise.

"Yeah, I think so. I'm so sorry."

"Sorry?" he says with a laugh. "Why should you be sorry? This isamazing! These vines have burst through stone and wall—what immense power you have!"

"You're not mad at me for ruining your apartment?" I ask. "Not that I meant to, but still."

"Not at all. This is incredibly impressive magic," he answers.

"I think so, too," a voice calls from the doorway, which was apparently pushed open by the vines. "But you're have some explaining to do now, Lucian."

We both turn to see Gregory.

"I came to check in on you, but it appears you're feelingmuchbetter," Gregory says with a smirk.

I pick up a throw blanket from the nearby couch to wrap around myself and ask, "What explaining?" I ask.

"The plants aren't only in this apartment," Gregory explains. "They've enveloped the entire building, inside and out. I think it's fair to say that the entire pack now knows our alpha has claimed the green witch as his mate."

"Mate?" The word sounds foreign in my mouth, heavy and eternal.
