But let’s not forget Brian’s still evil. (If you need a reminder of this, just read Surrender and Twisted Fates.) Who he is with Mina is a whole completely different person. She exists in a special category for him, and she’s the only human in existence who is truly completely safe with him. She’s the only one he’d personally kill for and the only one he’d die for. And she is the one he lives for. (Which is why we all swoon over him even though he’s a bad guy.)
And… I love Brian’s “Flower and the Bee” story. Just putting that out there.
There is something very attractive about how possessive he is toward her, riding this razor’s edge of sanity while at the same time not wanting to stop her from becoming the full version of who she’s meant to be.
Also, in case anyone is wondering, NO, I do not have an Ex named Todd. It’s important to me to clarify this. A beta reader said, “Well, we know you have an Ex named Todd” and I was like “Actually no, it’s just a name Brian would want to bury in a shallow grave.”
Okay so I could ramble more, but the audio costs an arm and a leg and I’m only hurting myself! So we’ll wrap it up here, and I’ll ramble at you some more in the next one.
