And this collar meant it wasonlyhim I served now, right? That was how this worked, wasn’t it?

Despite everything else he’d done to me, he hadn’t tried forcing his cock inside me. And despite how much I knew I should have hated him and everything he did to me, he’d made me…enjoy it, crave it.

Just like he promised I would.

So, as much as I hated to admit it, he was right.

He wasn’t the biggest monster in my world—not when I knew what to expect from him.

“Now, you come home with me,” he said.

I just swallowed thickly, doing my best to remind myself that I knew his brand of evil.

Maybe if I repeated that to myself enough, I’d eventually get my brain on board.

Rhett was surprisinglyattentive as he waited for my nausea to wear off, and during that time, he explained that I’d been drugged and had been pretty out of it until I’d finally fallen asleep, letting the drug wear off.

When I’d asked him if I’d been raped, that murderous light had reentered his eyes, but he calmly told me no, as if there wasn’t a raging storm brewing within him.

It was disconcerting the way he could do that.

Once I was feeling mostly okay, he got me dressed in a pair of leggings and a t-shirt, praising me for being a good girl and being so obedient. And I fucking blossomed under his praise, even if it did still feel a bit wrong.

I hated myself for it.

After Rhett had gotten me dressed, he carried me out of the club and to his car, telling Darla to take me off the list. I’d never been more relieved for something in my life.

And now, he was bringing me to his house…which would eventually become my home, too, I guessed.

“We’re almost there,” Rhett quietly informed me.

I looked out the passenger window, taking in the tree-lined road. We’d left the city a few miles ago, and it had been wilderness since then. There were no houses that I could see, which was a bit disconcerting. It was making me wonder if I’d actually been better off at the sex club. At least there were people there who might have been able to help me if I needed it.

He slowed down and made a turn onto a paved driveway, stopping when he came to a gate. I silently watched as he pressed a button above his visor. The gate slowly slid open, and once he had enough clearance, he smoothly maneuvered the SUV onto the driveway and headed toward his house, which was hidden by trees, secluded from the highway we’d just been on.

I swallowed thickly at the sight of the large house in front of me. It wasn’t quite a mansion, but it was huge—much bigger than the house I’d grown up in. It had an old, Victorian look to it with a modern twist. The walls were white with black shutters framing the windows. There were no flowers or shrubs around the porch or side of the house that I could see.

The garage opened a moment later, and Rhett parked between an Aston Martin and a Raptor before pressing another button to close the garage and putting the SUV into park.

“Welcome home, Natalia,” he murmured before he pushed open his door and got out. I waited for his order before moving, and when he pulled open my door, a smirk tilted his lips. “Good girl,” he praised, reaching in to unfasten my seatbelt. “I suppose my training actually did pay off, hmm?”

I just shrugged. I wasn’t sure if it was because of his training, my fear of him, just being so tired, or the fact that I at least knew the evil standing in front of me and knew how to navigate it.

My head was a mess, to say the least.

He pressed his palm to my lower back and led me into the house once I stepped out onto the concrete. A man appeared out of nowhere, making me stumble in shock and fear. Rhett’s hand moved to the back of my neck, his grip firm and warm, grounding me.

“Mr. Leonard is waiting in the sitting room, Sir.”

I snapped my eyes up to Rhett’s face. Why was my father here? Was this why he was bringing me here? Was he really actually sending me home?

I was so confused, and I tried my best not to hope for the latter. No use in getting my hopes up if it might not happen. Rhett had collared me, after all. I knew that was a pretty permanent thing, especially with all the diamonds Rhett had made sure were on the leather.

He led me into the sitting room, and tears welled in my eyes as I stared at my father. His face paled like he’d seen a ghost. I watched as he opened his mouth a couple of times, lost for words.

“Dad?” I croaked, my entire body trembling.
