“So then twenty-five is your favorite number?”

“Yes! It so is! What’s yours?”

“I don’t have one.”

She frowned. “Why not? You have a favorite color, right?”

Staring into her eyes, he answered immediately, “Blue. My favorite color is blue.”

Her gaze flickered down to his chest, and she pursed her lips. “Well, then you should have a favorite number too. Pick one.”

“How ’bout I sleep on it? This shit sounds very important, and I don’t want to mess it up.”

“Fair enough.”

Luke yawned.

Andy stared back up at the fan and gnawed on her lip. “Luke?”

“Yeah?”

“My father is Timothy Whittenbalm, and he doesn’t own a bait shop, he owns ManCave Outfitters, and I’m sorry, I know I probably should have told you the whole truth about my identity before we slept together, but I am telling you now, so please don’t be mad at me—”

“Andy, it’s fine. I’m not mad.”

“You’re not?”

“No. Your dad owns the company you used to work for. Why would I be mad about that?”

“I thought maybe you’d think I was some sort of corporate spy coming to work at the Sand Spot the way I did.”

“A corporate spy.” He blinked at her. Several times. Then, “Oh my god, are you for real with this shit?”

Narrowing her eyes as he started snickering, she rolled away from him. “You are so annoying.”

“And you, Andalise Rhodes Whittenbalm, are wonderfully, beautifully, remarkable.” She cracked a tiny smile as he tugged her into the wall of his chest. “Know what else?”

“What?”

“You have the strongest Kegel muscles I have ever experienced.”

Considering how many different Kegel muscles had probably squeezed this man’s penis, the feedback made Andy extraordinarily happy. “Really? My vagina is the strongest?”

He snorted out a laugh. “So competitive.”

She so was. “Was the, uhm…sex also—”

“Better than anything I’ve experienced in this lifetime or any of the ones that came before it?”

“I don’t believe in reincarnation, but yes,that?”

Luke smirked. “I don’t know, I think I might need to sleep on that one too.”

“Ugh!” She rolled away.

He tugged her right back, whispering in her ear. “The answer to your question isyes. There is no comparison. That was unequivocally the best I’ve ever had in my life.”

She grinned, then turned in his arms and pressed a quick peck to his cheek. “Same here.”
