That’showitwentfor Andy the rest of the week. Lots of kissing, lots of sex, lots of surfing.

In other words, a whole damn lot of changes to the routine.

But this was okay, Andy told herself. This was okay because she was creating a new one. A better one. One that revolved around a cool new job, a growing passion for catching waves, and some really big emotions for her surf instructor-slash-boyfriend.

This was okay because Andy was happy. Probably more so than she’d ever been in her life.

This was okay because she was in love, and she knew Luke loved her back.

He loved her back intensely and frequently.

At work, he would pop into the store during the lulls to steal kisses. He did this so often Andy would have to get cross with him. Would have to banish Mr. Freaky-deaky back to his workshop, or she wouldn’t be able to focus on board sales, let alone the soaps Mary was churning out.

Although, said soaps were practically selling themselves. Andy was quite pleased by the success of the new product line. Partly because ithadbeen her idea, but also because she rather felt like she was starting a scent revolution.

Whenever she recommended Mary’s soaps to a customer, Andy would say things like, “This stuff is so awesome you won’t ever need to wear cologne again” or “My boyfriend smells so good after using this, I want to lick him all over.”

The latter usually drew her boyfriend to her side, and she’d have to sniff his arm or nuzzle his chest just to prove how wonderfully minty-fresh he smelled. And how strongly his scent aroused her.

Andy sold lots of soaps this way.

She also got lots more sex when she went home.

Which for the next few days was largely Luke’s condo.

This because she’d thought it would be nice to let Kory and Gray have the apartment to themselves for a while since they’d missed out on their Yosemite trip. Hopefully, this meant they were enjoying lots of sex too.

Hopefully, they were also taking good care of Petals. Andy had left Kory very detailed instructions, and the woman was super reliable, and bird care wasn’t all that difficult.

Still, by the weekend, Andy was starting to feel a smidgen of anxiety. Not just about the separation from her little feathered companion, but also, yes, it was possible that all the life changes were catching up with her.

Also, her stomach was starting to bother her. More specifically, her gut.

You know how you get backed up if you don’t take your vitamins.

Her mother’s words whispered back to her after Andy’s closing shift on Saturday. She hadn’t taken a single fiber supplement in the past several days. Oh, she’d been very good about taking her newly prescribed birth control pills, but the rest of her medicinal regimen had largely been ignored. Now she was suffering the consequences.

Too embarrassed to admit to Luke what was really going on, Andy blamed her malaise at work on her monthly friend. Which wasn’t due for another five days yet.

Wrapping her up in his arms after they closed up shop that night, Luke didn’t question the excuse. “Want to go back to your place and just cuddle?”

She sighed blissfully. “Yes, please.”

He was such a good boyfriend.

Back at her apartment, they curled up together and binged the first few episodes ofWitcheragain, Petals hopping about behind them on the couch.

“Pretty bird, Andy. Pretty bird.”

Luke stroked her feathers affectionately. “Did you know you have the smartest bird on the planet?”

“Yes,” Andy said, eyes never wavering from the Henry Cavill action unfolding on the screen.

Luke let out an exasperated snort and tugged her further into his embrace.

The next morning Andy woke to the soft murmur of Luke’s voice carrying in from her patio.

He’d left the blinds closed so the rising sun didn’t rouse her, but she could still picture him pacing outside as he spoke to his sister on his phone.
