But also, there was the bulge. The very intimidating-looking bulge that was making her vagina go all clenchy again.

Luke glanced away from the screen in front of him. “Mind if I keep the door open for a bit?”

Andy’s gaze swung up. “That’s fine.”

She could probably use some cooling off herself.

Since her apartment was one of the corner units in the complex, both its bedrooms had patios. Andy’s patio — though smaller than Kory’s — was a bit more private as it was surrounded by a pretty copse of trees and flowering shrubs.

“It’s nice out,” she added as a breeze swept through the foliage.

“It is.” Luke checked the lock on the screen, then walked over to the bed and stretched out on the sheets.

Andy turned to say goodnight to Petals. The bird was already passed out in her cage — snoozing as she usually did with one foot up, the other clutching a branch, and her head tucked into a wing. “Goodnight, Petals,” she whispered before padding over to the bed.

Then she lay down next to Luke, and the room fell quiet save for the rustling hedges and her pounding pulse. She should probably say something right now. Something sexy and clever.

“Good night, Luke.”

That so wasn’t it.

He chuckled. “Good night, Bird.”

Andy gnawed on her lip as she stared up at the ceiling. The room felt both larger and smaller at the same time. Larger because she’d finally ditched the tent. Smaller because of the large — mostly naked — man lying next to her.

A man she REALLY liked.

But, damn it, she still really liked Kyle too.

Only just yesterday, when she’d paddled over to him and Luke after her sixth wipeout of the day, Kyle had given her a huge high-five and called her “fearless.”

Her.

Fearless.

That had made all six of those wipeouts worth it.

And the man’s perfect smile still did things to her. Maybe not vagina-clenchy things. But belly-flutter things, for sure.

Damn it, why did she have to be attracted to two men at the same time? It was making her life so freaking complicated.

Of course, maybe all her stressing about this was pointless since she’d probably blown her chance with Kyle earlier today anyway.

She huffed out a frustrated sigh.

The mostly naked man lying next to her chuckled. “Those thoughts of yours are awfully loud over there.”

“Sorry.”

“Care to share?”

“No.”Don’t look at him, don’t look at him, don’t look at him.“Okay, fine, I will.”

She rolled to her side to face him.

He rolled to his side and cocked a brow.

“So you know when Kyle invited us to the club earlier?”
