“I don’t know. I guess maybe after the fourth song, I might ask him if he wants to go for a walk somewhere quiet.” Her gaze flickered to Luke. “Maybe the beach?”
He nodded approvingly. “Not bad. Kyle does like the beach.”
“Me too! At least, a lot more than I used to.” She cut a sly glance at Luke. “Maybe my surf instructor could turn over the Tweety, so we’d have something cozy to sit on.”
“Not a chance.”
She stuck out her tongue.
Luke’s gaze dropped to it with enough interest to quicken her pulse.“Next.”
“Well, so then we’d probably sit under the stars and talk for a while, and after that, I might invite him back to my place.”
“Sounds promising. What would you two crazy kids do there?”
She smirked up at her slowly rotating ceiling fan. “You think he’d want to playBloodmoon’s Childwith me?”
“Ha! Kyle’s not all that into video games. Actually, he’s total garbage at them.”
“Really?”
“Yup. My boy can’t even playMinecraft.”
She winced. “No one’s perfect, I guess.”
“True dat.”
“So, uhm, what sort of gamesisKyle into?”
“The kind that involve foreplay.”
“Those really aren’t my strong suit.”
“Andy?”
“Hmm?”
“You said you weren’t that experiencedbefore.”
“Yeah.”
“How much experience have you actually had?”
“Wellll…”Cheeks warming, she turned them back up to the fan. “Not a lot, to tell you the truth. And only with Carson.”
“I knew it! Dude’s bi, huh?”
Andy shrugged. “I dunno. After the one time we did it, he told me he thought he might be ace, but now he seemsreallyinto Jake so—”
“Whoa, whoa, whoa, back that up. Theonetime y’all did it?”
“Oh, right. The deflowering. That was a few months ago. The sex was pretty awkward, but at least it didn’t hurt much. Since then, I’ve been reading a lot of very helpful books on the subject, so I really feel I’m ready to give it another go.”
