His brother’s brows arched, and Logan watched Aidan’s eyes drift across the room to the slim blonde who was talking to Emma, Olivia, and Addison.

She was pretty. He couldn’t deny that. Not as beautiful as his bride-to-be, of course. Logan knew it would be nothing but trouble if the two hooked up. This was only the engagement party. The wedding was still three months away and being held in Hawaii.

So they all had to spend a week together, and if their bridesmaid was bitter about a one-night stand with his brother—and best man—then he and Emma would spend the entire time being referees.

“She doesn’t appear to be having any trouble fitting into civilization to me,” Aidan said.

“Just keep it in your pants,” Logan demanded.

Thank God she was flying home tomorrow. It wasn’t like the girl was a virgin. She was the same age as Emma, but his fiancé was right. Lily was sweet. Kind. Bubbly.

Aidan would eat her alive and spit her out.

If he was going to do it, he could do itaftertheir wedding.

If she was foolish enough to sleep with his brother...

Logan made a note to tell Emma about his brother’s sexual preferences.

Aidan liked women all right, but he liked to dominate far more than Logan did, and not always with just one woman.

He’d. Spit. Her. Out.

After eating her alive.

Literally.

Andrew, his father, tapped the side of his glass, and the room went quiet.

Lily scuttled across the floor, grinning at Emma and standing at her side. Her eyes drifted to his brother’s.

Jesus.

Aidan winked at her.

Logan nudged him and got a stink eye for it.

“I want to say quick congratulations to the happy couple,” Andrew Dufort said. “Without dragging up the past, I am thrilled to see my firstborn happy again. Emma, you have brought life back into Logan’s eyes, and thank goodness this enormous place feels like the home, as it should have always been.”

Jesus, Dad.

Emma smiled up at him, and his heart bloomed.

“Your mother and I are proud of you, son. And we look forward to getting to know the Edwards family more before the wedding.”

Logan smiled and nodded at his dad, his mother leaning her head against his shoulder. Then Emma did the same thing.

“Thanks, Dad. Thank you, everyone, for coming on such short notice.” Logan glanced down at his bride-to-be. “I hope you can all join us in Hawaii, where I will make this gorgeous woman my wife. I know I won’t be letting her leave my side until she is.”

“I’m not going anywhere.” Emma smiled, wrapping her arm around his waist, and as his lips dropped to hers, the room exploded into cheers, applause, and glasses clinking.

But all he saw were Emma’s beautiful green eyes as he kissed her.

“I love you, my sexy little author,” Logan said against her lips.

“Love you more,” Emma replied.

“Lily, let me show you Logan’s art collection. It’s stunning,” Aidan said, taking her arm.

“Sure,” Lily said, and Aidan placed his hand gently on the small of her back, sweeping her away.

Emma’s eyes flew open. “Logan!”

“I’m on it,” he said.

But Logan wasn’t sure he was.

Their wedding in Hawaii was going to be very, very interesting.
