“Hunter and Daniel are nearly done with the steaks and chicken on the grill. Or barbie, as we like to say down under.” She winked at Logan playfully.

He liked his cousin’s wife. She was smart, funny, and a lot of fun. But also strong, which Daniel needed. He’d chosen well.

“I’ll help,” Olivia said, but everyone began telling her to sit down and take a load off her pregnant feet.

Logan realized he hadn’t answered Fletcher’s question.

“No. I’m not sure the family thing is for me.” Logan took a sip of his beer, then dropped it on the table and idly turned it around. He knew it wasn’t but didn’t want to go into details. “It’s nice being here, though. Seeing you all happy.”

He meant it.

“I said the same before Liv.” Fletcher rested one arm on the back of his chair. “Never say never.”

Logan smirked.

No one would convince him otherwise. Certainly not another woman.

“Trust me, after divorcing Zoe...,” he said. Which was no secret; it had been all over the media. “I know I’m better off a single man.”

Fletcher watched him more closely.

“That bad, huh?”

“Yup. My focus is Dufort Liquor. We’ve got huge growth plans for the next five years. International growth, which is going to suck a lot of time, so the last thing I need is relationship drama.”

“What if you find someone that makes you happy? Supports you?”

Someone who could potentially cheat? Or lie?

No fucking thanks.

“I get it—you’re loved up. I got married, remember? I know the blissful feeling you’re in right now.” Logan smiled and let out a laugh. More plates of food were being placed on the table. What he left off was,it doesn’t last.“Speaking of...who’s the woman your father is dating?”

Fletcher shook his head slowly, then glanced up as Daniel joined them. “Now that’s a story. Settle in.”

Logan raised his brows, and Daniel sat down opposite him.

“Remember, you met Jackson, our half-brother?” Daniel asked, and Logan nodded. “His mother. Jenna. She was Jonathan’s first love.”

What?

Logan recoiled. “You’ve got to be fucking joking?”

The two men shook their heads slowly.

“Why?” Fletch asked curiously. “What do you know?”

Out of the corner of his eye, he spotted Emma, who had wandered out with a plate of heated rolls. He knew they were heated because they smelled damn delicious.

A lot like her.

No, no, no.

Keep it in your pants. At least fuckingtry.

Olivia, Addison, and Harper joined them, sitting around the table.

Then, as Logan went to explain, Hunter sat down with a sigh. “What are we talking about?”
