Logan shot her a narrowed look.

“Rubbish. You’re our special guest.” Olivia shook her head.

“Stay, Emma. We didn’t want an enormous wedding, but that doesn’t mean friends aren’t welcome. We wanted to surprise everyone in the morning, but tonight, we need to clear the property for the set-up crew. So, we’re having a bonfire on the beach,” Fletcher said.

Okay, well, that did sound like fun.

“And my future wife tells me you ladies will want to go shopping.”

“You bet your ass we are.” Harper stood up and brushed off her crumbs. “Come on, Emma, Addy. Off to East Hampton we go.”

Oh.

Her eyes darted around the table.

None of them had brought anything fancy with them. She only had what she’d taken to NYC for her book conference.

Namely, comfortable and boring.

Emma hoped they weren’t going to designer stores. She wasn’t the wife of a billionaire, with a little black card. Maybe they had a TJ Max nearby.

Emma dropped her napkin on her plate and slowly pushed her chair out, chewing her lip.

Olivia gave her a knowing smile. “You don’t have to get dressed up. It’s casual. I just know these two.”

Emma remembered none of the women at the table came from money, but they had it now. She felt embarrassed at the idea of being stuck in a designer store she couldn’t afford. Even if they had been in her shoes—aka: not a billionaire.

Heat warmed her cheeks, and she wondered if she should stay behind.

Hunter slipped his card into Addison’s hand, giving her a look which challenged her to argue.

“Thanks, baby.” She smiled, kissing him, then asked if he could watch her daughter, Sienna.

“We’ve got the kids. Go.” Olivia rubbed her hand over her belly, as pregnant women did.

Logan emptied his coffee and dropped the cup onto his saucer, catching Emma’s eyes and standing. “I need to visit a few stores myself.”

He did? Oh...

To buy condoms.

Now her face was red. She couldn’t help the reaction.

“Take David,” Daniel told Harper, who was already half inside the house.

“Already on it, boss,” said the huge, ever-present security guy.

Harper called out, “I know!”

“Take one of the cars, Logan,” Fletcher offered. “Keys are in the kitchen.”

“Thanks. Anyone need anything?”

Addison gave Sienna a kiss and followed Harper inside the house.

Decisions.

Emma stood and wandered into the kitchen, taking her plate with her and rinsing it.
