Emma shoved down the annoying butterflies and made her way to the opposite side of the bonfire, placing the covered s’mores on a table which had been erected.

It was best to keep her distance.

Emotionally.

Emma was still on board with the sex.

She wasn’tcompletelycrazy.

––––––––

“THIS IS SO INCREDIBLE.” Addison sat cross-legged next to Emma on the sand. She tipped her head back. “Look at the stars. There are so many of them.”

Addison was right, but she was also tipsy.

Not that Emma was stone-cold sober herself. She poured another glass of the mojito cocktail the girls had mixed up into big jugs and glanced up at the universe. “Millions and billions. Do you wish we could travel into space?”

“We can,” Hunter said, sitting behind his girl, pulling her against his chest. “For a price. Thanks to a few fellow billionaires.”

Fellow billionaires.

Of course.

Out here on the beach, surrounded by nature, it was easy to forget about the luxury and wealth that usually surrounded this family.

Even if, behind her, there were multi-million-dollar properties. In front of her was the ocean. Above her was the inky sky filled with stars.

That was all she was focused on.

And her mojito.

“Commercial space travel. How insane,” Emma said. “But it’s coming, that’s for sure.”

Who would’ve thought it would be in their lifetime, but it sounded like it was.

“You wouldn’t go?” Logan dropped down onto the sand a few feet away from her. He tossed his sweater between them.

A psychological barrier.

She’d successfully kept her distance all night, mainly, so it was easier to not cross a line and fall intolikewith him. Emma liked his cock. That was enough.

Liar.

You like him.

They’d had dinner, and the logs on the bonfire were close to crumbling and falling apart. Across the ambers, Harper and Daniel were snuggling and chatting, Fletcher and Liv doing the same now the girls were in bed.

“I’ve never thought about it. Would you?” Emma asked Logan.

“I once said no, but I might now. I wasn’t going to put out that sort of money. I’m rich, but not that fucking rich.”

Hewasrich.

She’d seen his net worth. Over five billion.

Then again, Emma wasn’t sure what an airfare to space cost.

“I’d go in a heartbeat,” Hunter said.
