Oh. Man. “You’re not going back to sleep, are you?”

“Nope. I have a traitor to catch. Kind of hard to sleep.”

My eyes spring open. “Anything new?”

“I got news from Internal Security this morning. that there was no electronic trail or any evidence that someone in the family had asked for GPS information on me.”

“Meaning?”

“In order to get GPS information, you have to go through three layers of security: password, the inserted chip, and facial recognition. There is no evidence that anyone in the family did that.”

That’s a lot of steps and not something that sounds easily bypassed by your average person, even if you were aware of the technology. “Didn’t you mention that Gracie is into computers?”

“Yeah. She runs a cyber-crime unit for The Guild out of her club. The information she gets helps us rescue people and track down predators. She’s really good at it.”

I hear the note of sadness in her voice. “You think it’s Gracie.”

She takes a deep, steadying breath before whispering, “She’s the only person with the ability to do something like that.”

Oh, man. My heart is breaking for her. This is beyond tough, and I want her to know I have her back. “What’s your plan?”

“I want to interview her this morning.” She tugs at the blanket. “Any interest in tagging along?”

Like she has to ask. “You go, I go.” She grins unabashedly at the words I told her in Israel. Brat. “Gracie’s not a fan of mine, though. Or maybe that’s the point? You think I’ll throw her off?”

She metronomes her head from one side to the other. “More that you might spot things I’d miss. I’m too close to this. Same with the rest of my family. I’d like to tag team the whole bunch.”

“What do you need me to do?”

“Gracie this morning. The rest of them… I’d like to do some light digging this afternoon. But if you could come by for dinner later, you could take a second crack at them.”

It’s as good a place as any to start. “Okay.” I rub my eyes. “I’m up.”

She grins at me. “Stay put. I’m going to make you coffee.”

“You’re going to make mecoffee?”

“Baby, after three mind-blowing orgasms, I’m pretty eager to please. Coffee, no problem.”

She rolls out of bed and walks out with a strut that has me licking my lips. Best morning ever.

JUSTICE

Ipull into the parking lot behind Gracie’s Club When? and hit the brakes. Maybe a little too quickly because Sandesh is yanked back by his seatbelt. The coffee in his hand sloshes onto his pants.

I grimace. “Whoops. And I took such care getting you clean during our shower.”

A smile graces his handsome face as he places his cup in the cup holder, grabs a tissue, then dabs away the moisture. “I’d think you’d worry more about the suit you insisted I wear.”

“Suggested, not insisted. And, trust me, if you’re coming to the house later for dinner, you’ll be glad. Momma does not mess around with that stuff.”

“I’ll keep that in mind. Anything I should know about Gracie? Any issues with you?”

Doesshe have any issues with me? My heart hurts. “Believe it or not, we used to be best friends growing up. We shared everything—our secrets, our first drink together, our first sneak out of the house. Not an easy thing when you have armed guards around your home.”

“What happened?”
