Maybe this summer at home won’t be so bad.

* * *

The next morning, after a night of absolutely no sleep, I’m standing down in the kitchen with a cup of coffee, when Cameron comes waltzing in.

“Hey, brother,” she mumbles.

“Are you still mad at me?”

“For being a cockblock? Yes.” She pouts.

“That’s disgusting, Cam.” I scrunch up my nose. The last thing I want is the image of my sister having sex in my head.

“Before I forget, my friends are off limits.”

I freeze, wondering briefly if she knows something about last night. That doesn’t seem like information that Charlie would voluntarily share.

I must look confused, because she speaks again before I have the chance to.

“Tabby. Redhead. You met her last night. I told her you’re off limits. All my friends know you’re off limits,” she says, moving around me to pour herself a cup.

“That’s not fair. Most of your friends are easy lays.” I copy her pout from earlier, just as Charlie walks in.

Charlie walks in looking like a fucking goddess. All I can think about is her naked body from last night.

“You’re disgusting, Cole,” Charlie says when she walks into the room, overhearing our conversation.

“I tell it like it is. Don’t you know that about me?” I wink at her over my cup, and the scowl she returns in my direction makes me laugh.

She’s so much fun to fuck with.

“Gross, Cole. Cut it out,” Cameron says, turning her attention to the both of us.

I let my eyes wander to watch Charlie move across our kitchen like she belongs here, and I guess, in a way, she does. She’s stayed here far more than I have. She’s the best thing that ever happened to my sister, because God knows where Cam would be if she were left here alone all the time.

“Is Tyler going to Mexico?” Cam asks, trying to appear innocent, but I know she has ulterior motives.

“Don’t even think about it,” I warn.

“Why? You wanna fuck my friends, why can’t I fuck yours?” She frowns.

“I’m done here.” I put my cup in the sink and get the fuck out of the kitchen before Cameron makes my ears bleed.

“It’s so easy to get him riled up,” I hear Cameron say, laughing.

I walk into my bedroom, just in time to hear my phone ringing.

“What’s up?”

“Hey, man. Let’s have a party tonight,” Tyler says from the other end.

“Where?”

“Your house, duh. You’re the only one that never has any parents around.” He laughs.

“Shouldn’t it be my idea for the party if it’s at my house?” I ask, picking up the dirty laundry around my room.

“It is your idea; you just didn’t realize it until now.”
