She hands me a tube of bright red lipstick. I cover my lips, smacking them together with a pop.

She might be onto something. I look pretty damn good.

“You guys ready?” Tyler asks, pounding on the door.

“Fuck off, Tyler,” Cam says, shoving her lipstick into a small purse.

“Holy shit. Your brother isn’t going to like this,” Tyler says, gesturing towards our outfits.

“Do I look like I give a fuck what my brother thinks?” Cam says, putting her hand on her hip.

I shake my head, linking my arm with hers. Cam is a handful.

“Where is my brother?” Cam asks, looking around the yacht.

“He and the girls are already off the boat. He was getting tired of waiting on you guys, so he sent me to do the dirty work.”

“Figures,” Cam says, rolling her eyes.

The three of us round the corner, before coming to the ramp to exit the boat. I glance off the boat and see Cole standing at the bottom of the ramp, hands in his pockets, in a black suit.

Jesus Christ.

“Better pick that jaw up off the floor before your bestie notices,” Tyler says, leaning down to whisper in my ear.

“I don’t know what you’re talking about,” I insist, straightening myself up.

“Right,” he says, laughing.

Is it that obvious? I have to get my shit together before Cam figures out there’s something going on with me.

Chapter Ten

COLE

You have got to be fucking kidding me.

“I didn’t look like that when I was in high school,” Sasha says, frowning.

I couldn’t take my eyes off Charlie if I tried. I don’t know if she’s purposely trying to kill me or what, but it’s working.

Charlie looks like the piece of forbidden fruit that Eve offered to Adam. Everyone knows how that story played out.

“My mom would have killed me if I left the house looking like that,” Sasha says, flipping her hair over her shoulder.

Jealousy doesn’t look good on her. Imagine being a twenty-year-old woman that’s intimidated by an eighteen-year-old.

Wait… eighteen. Charlie had a birthday two days ago. Everything was so crazy nobody even celebrated that. Even I feel some sadness over that. Maybe I can do something special for her?

“Sorry. It takes time to look this good,” my sister says with a wink.

If Tyler doesn’t stop staring at my baby sister like he wants to tear her clothes off, I’m going to rip him limb from limb. It also doesn’t go unnoticed that he’s staring at Charlie the same way.

I think that might piss me off even more.

I try to avoid looking at Charlie. I’m afraid if I do then I won’t be able to control myself.

“Let’s party!” Tyler says, clapping his hands together.
