“Your mouth is saying one thing, but your body is saying another. You can deny the attraction all you want, but remember, I was there too. I will have you again, princess. You won’t know what to do with yourself when I’ve got you sprawled out across a bed instead of fucking you against a wall.” I gasp, feeling the loss of his touch when he lets loose of my arm and walks ahead of me.
He might have won this round, but we’re just getting started.

It’s only been thirty minutes, but it feels like it’s been hours, and we’re finally pulling back up to the yacht. I’m exhausted. The events of the day are finally catching up with me. You could cut the tension in this limo with a knife.
“I don’t know about you guys, but I’m beat,” Tyler says, stretching his arms above his head.
“Same,” Cam agrees. I watch her eyes travel up his body.
Interesting.
“I’ll be asleep as soon as my head hits the pillow,” I say, climbing out of the car.
I trail behind the two of them, and Cam throws her arms around me in a hug before going into her room. She and Tyler took the two rooms on the main floor. I had a room on the bottom, completely unaware that Cole had one there too, until he flew out of his bedroom earlier tonight.
I glance around, not seeing Cole anywhere, but that’s what I want, right? I’m trying to avoid him. I don’t want to put myself into any more situations that I can’t get myself out of.
“Looking for someone?” I hear him but I can’t see him.
I’m about halfway down the hallway. The anticipation of knowing he’s here somewhere but not knowing exactly where is killing me.
“Hardly.” I scoff, trying to play it cool.
“Want to come play, princess?” he asks.
I’m still looking around, not having any luck finding him anywhere.
“Leave me alone, Cole,” I tell him. Only a few steps left until I get to my door.
“You were begging me to fuck you merely an hour ago. What’s changed?” His voice is laced with venom.
He’s the lion and I’m his prey. He’s enjoying fucking with me.
“I’ve had it. I don’t want it anymore.” I shrug, even though I know he can’t see me.
“Is that so?” he asks, and just then I feel an arm snake around my waist.
“Fuck off, Cole.” I try shoving at him, which only makes him grip me harder.
“I don’t think you really want me to go anywhere,” he whispers in my ear. I’m ashamed that my nipples harden under my dress when I feel his hot breath against my skin.
“I said fuck off. Whatever happened between us isn’t happening again,” I say, even though my head is screaming at me to shut up and let him have his way with me. “We’re done.”
“We’re done when I say we are.”
I yank away from him, shoving him against the wall.
“I’m just getting started with you, princess,” he warns, and the threat sends shivers down my spine.
I practically run down the hall to my door, opening it quickly and locking it behind me.
Leaning against the door, I put my head in my hands.
Nothing good will ever come from playing games with the devil. Especially one as heartless as Cole Garrett.
Taking a deep breath, I pull myself together before grabbing some clothes from my bag. Maybe a hot shower will help clear my head.
