I turn her around, my front to her back, and she bends slightly as I slide inside.

“You’re so fucking tight.” I groan.

I wrap my arms around her, sliding my hands up and down her wet, slick body. She arches her back, reaching behind her to pull my face to hers.

Between the steam and the water, our slick bodies move effortlessly with one another.

“I’m going to come, Cole. I’m so close.” She moans.

I bring my hand down until my fingers find her clit, rubbing and pinching to help push her completely over the edge.

I feel her clinch around me, and the sensation sends me over the edge.

“Holy shit, baby,” I tell her, breathing heavily.

“Yeah, holy shit,” she says, grinning, turning around, standing on her tiptoes and kissing me.

After several more kisses and helping each other wash off, the water starts to run cold.

“I think that’s our cue to get out.” She laughs.

“I think you should go downstairs and talk to Cam,” I tell her, once we’re both in my room getting dressed.

“I think you’re right,” she agrees.

“I’ll be up here when you’re done,” I reassure her, pulling her to me, pressing my lips against hers.

I don’t know when it was that Charlotte brought me back from hell, but I always knew she was an angel in disguise. I just didn’t know it was possible for the devil to fall in love.

Chapter Twenty-Three

CHARLOTTE

Ipull Cole’s bedroom door shut and allow myself a moment, leaning back against the door, and I rub my hand over my face. It’s hard to believe so much has happened in the last twenty-four hours.

After Jasper forced me to sit back down, he wouldn’t stop touching me. Running his hands over my arms, gripping my thighs. I really started to feel like any hope of getting out of there was dwindling fast.

Then his phone rang. I don’t know who called, or what they wanted, but he was on the phone forever. He kept hanging up, calling people back, pacing the patio. He just got off the phone when the doorbell rang.

The last person I expected to see on the other side of the door was Cameron. I couldn’t believe my eyes. Something told me I was supposed to act as if I didn’t know her, so that’s exactly what I did.

All I know is, I’ve never been more thankful for these two than I am right now at this moment. I know the hard part isn’t over yet. I’ll still have to talk to my parents, but I already feel like a huge weight has been lifted from my shoulders.

I head downstairs, finding Cam sitting at the kitchen table. She looks up at me with an embarrassed smile.

“I’m sorry,” we both say at the same time, making us laugh.

“You go first,” she says as I take the seat next to her.

“I’m sorry I went behind your back with your brother. I know that’s something that you’re passionate about. I feel terrible about how things happened. I don’t regret them though. For once in my life, I thought about myself and what I wanted and it led me to love,” I say, tears filling my eyes.

She grabs my hand.

“I’m sorry that I ever made you feel like you couldn’t tell me something big. I’m sorry you were scared you would lose me, and also scared to allow yourself to love someone because of me. I acted exactly how you thought I would when I found out and I’ll never be able to apologize enough for that.” She wipes a tear falling down her cheek.

“For being best friends, we really suck at communicating.” I laugh between tears.

“If I could hand pick my sister-in-law, I hope you know it would be you,” she says sincerely.
