I carefully move out of bed, careful not to wake him up. As I make my way around the room and pick up my clothes from last night, I can't help but feel excited about what's in store for us today. Thank goodness it's a Saturday, and we can spend the day together.

We've taken a risk, but we're in this together now.

I start to leave the room, but a deep voice arrests me.

"Where are you going, Cassidy?"

I turn around and see Ivan looking up at me with sleepy eyes.

"I was just about to let you sleep," I reply. "While I go and get showered and dressed."

He smiles, and I feel my heart flutter in my chest. "Come here," he says, and I make my way back to the bed. He pulls me close and positions us, so he's on his back, and I'm lying on top of him.

"You don't have to go, you know." He kisses my forehead. "Stay in bed longer. It's Saturday."

I look up into his eyes and can feel myself melting into him. "What do you want to do today, then?"

"Let's start by having breakfast in bed, and then we can do whatever you want. Spend the day exploring New York, or just stay in bed." He smiles and

gives me a soft kiss on my lips as I make my decision.

"I want both," I whisper against his lips.

He smiles widely, and I feel myself falling hard.

We spend half the day in bed and the other half exploring the city. I've lived in Boston most of my life, so I've been to New York. However, Ivan shows me another side of the city. As I walk around with his hand in mine, I can't help but think about my first time with Ivan. It was nothing like I thought it would be. A little sadness overcomes me when I remember that he's my father's friend, and I wish Ivan didn't know my father.

"You are going to love this restaurant," he says as we stop at the corner, waiting for the light to change.

It's a beautiful day in New York, and tourists fill the streets, but it's manageable. Being from Boston, I'm used to tourists.

"What type of place is it?" I say, resting my head on his shoulder.

"Italian. Your favorite." he squeezes my hand and smiles down at me.

"You remember my favorite food?"

"I remember everything about you."

I smile and look away, feeling a little embarrassed at my attraction to him. We wait for the light to change, then cross the street heading towards our destination. Ivan is nothing like I thought he would be, and I love that.

"What are you thinking about?" he asks.

"That I wish I could cook," I say, telling him about when I almost burned down the kitchen as a kid. Now Nina won't let me anywhere near a stove. "I wish I could cook like you."

We maneuver the crowded streets. Small bakeries and cafes have their doors propped open. As we walk the busy sidewalks, I can smell the distinct aroma of freshly brewed coffee and chocolate croissants. The sun is out, but a pleasant coolness in the air caresses my skin.

"I can teach you," he says.

"Oh." I think for a moment. "I'm only going to live with you for a few months."

"I can teach you a lot in a couple of months." He pulls me aside, and we stand in front of a small cafe. "We don't only have two months. This doesn't have to stop when you find your own place."

I look up at him, the sunlight dancing in his light hazel eyes. He gives me a gentle kiss and pulls me close to him. His lips feel like heaven on mine, and I want nothing more than to live in this moment forever.

"Let's go eat," he says finally. "You're going to love it. They have a signature dish called Cacio e Pepe. It's my favorite."

He takes my hand and pulls me towards the restaurant, and I love the feeling of being taken care of, and not having to worry about anything. I enjoy being present in each moment with him.
