I reached behind me and squeezed the hard length straining behind his zipper, intending to respond with a sexy comeback, but my brain abdicated control to my nether regions.

“Now is good.”

Itossed the wet jeans into the dryer with the rest of my clothes and groaned. This was a punishment. Karma. Payment for the regular orgasms and new habit of lounging in Noah’s room all day.

Noah did laundry regularly in their little stackable machines, and I’d started throwing some of my stuff in there. Why not? He was already running a load. Except today, Noah and the others had left for training early, and I’d slept in.

No one had switched the laundry.

I started the dryer and stretched my arms over my head, staring down at the bright teal panties and tank top I still wore. The only non-soaking-wet clothes I had in the apartment. After spending the last few weeks sleeping over at Noah’s, I’d sort of stopped going home.

Unfortunately, home was where the rest of my clothes lived. I was supposed to meet Eva in ten minutes to go get coffee, and now I’d have to pray she wasn’t around to see me come in pantsless.

It was a fifty-fifty chance since she expected me to be late.

With a sigh, I grabbed my bag, checked the landing to make sure it was empty, and scooted across to my door. At least the weather was cooperating with warm temperatures. The second I stepped inside, I saw my prayers were in vain.

Eva lounged on the couch with a thick book, and the gleam of joy when she spotted me said I’d made her day. Fantastic.

“I don’t want to talk about it,” I muttered as I crossed the living room.

Eva sat up from her sprawl and laughed. “Where are your pants?”

“I don’t want to talk about it,” I repeated through clenched teeth, heading for my room.

I shoved the door closed behind me, but instead of a satisfying slam, I heard soft footsteps on the carpet.

“Please tell me Noah stole all your pants so you couldn’t leave, necessitating a daring escape on your part. I’m working on this theory where he keeps you chained to his bed so he can have his wicked way with you whenever he wants.”

A blush warmed my cheeks. She wasn’t far off. “I saw you a few days ago at lunch. This was a minor laundry mishap.”

Her brows rose. “He purposely shrunk all your clothes so you’d have to walk around naked?”

I stopped rummaging through my dresser to turn and stare at her. “Why is Noah an evil genius in all of your fantasies?”

She crossed her arms and leaned against the doorframe. “He seems like the type. Quiet and unassuming on the outside, freaky when he lets loose. If you’d share any of the details you’re hoarding, I wouldn’t have to resort to my imagination.”

The heat on my face spread to my ears. “The answer is still no.” Though her imagination was disturbingly accurate. “Are we getting coffee or not?”

“I wasn’t sure you’d be able to tear yourself away from Noah,” she teased.

I flipped her off while yanking on a clean pair of leggings. I’d only cancelled on her twice, and I saw her regularly. Just not here. After the first night in my bed, Noah declared it unfit for a guy his size. I couldn’t argue after I experienced the sheer breadth of his mattress. Four of me could fit on there—or one me and one Noah, which was all I needed.

His spring football practices stepped up, my classes got harder, and it was just easier to stay at his place. Was this what happened to normal girls when they started dating someone? They abandoned their friends for consistent—spectacular—dick?

I shook off the lingering concern I might be a bad friend and spread my arms. “There. Ready. I’m all yours for the rest of the day.”

Eva grinned. “Until your date, you mean?”

“Why do you even talk to me when you already know everything?” I’d put off the date I’d promised Noah until he’d asked me again during a weak moment, one with his face between my legs.

Sex was easy, especially with him, but dates reminded me of all the ways I’d failed in my last relationship. We were supposed to go out tonight, so it was probably for the best I finally came back to grab some fresh clothes.

“What information you give me—and what you don’t—tells me a lot. Anyway, I need a couple of minutes to do something first.” She nodded her head toward her door, and I followed her, fully expecting some kind of ambush.

I wasn’t wrong.
