The guy she’s speaking to leans in closer, also touching the ends of her hair until his fingers are entwined with hers. He moves his other hand to her arse as he talks into her ear. She’s smiling, and it’s infectious. I feel myself smiling too, even though I don’t know what the joke is.
“Let’s go,” snaps Hulk, standing abruptly. “I can’t sit around and watch her with other men.” He’s talking about Piper, of course, but his words hit home as I watch the guy twist Mae’s head towards him. They kiss, and my fists ball by my sides. Why the fuck did she put herself on my radar? Now, I feel this itch to protect her, even from men she wants to kiss.
We get back to the clubhouse, and Hulk goes straight up to bed in a mood. I drink a few shots alone, but even the alcohol does nothing to stop me thinking about Mae. It’s frustrating.
I wander around the club. It’s quiet tonight, and I hate it quiet, preferring it full and buzzing to life. I stop outside Mae’s bedroom door. Maybe I should wait up for her, to make sure she’s home safe. I shake my head—that’s ridiculous, she’s a grown woman. I turn to walk away and then change my mind again, deciding I can wait and smooth things out with her. Before I know it, I’m in her room and settled in her reading chair with just her damn twinkling lights illuminating the room.
It’s almost an hour later when I hear giggling from outside the room. I impatiently tap my fingers on the arms of the chair. The door opens and she practically falls through it laughing, followed by the guy she kissed earlier tonight. I grip the arms of the chair tighter, digging my fingers into the worn leather. “Get naked,” he orders, and she giggles again.
“So bossy,” she swoons, and I roll my eyes.She hasn’t seen bossy yet.
“Come on, baby, stop teasing me,” the guy pants out, like a dog on heat. Fuck, he’s like a horny teenager.
“I’ll get something for you to tie me up with,” she suggests excitedly, and this surprises me. My little admirer likes a bit of mild kink. Mae holds up a rope from her dressing gown, and I shake my head. If he uses that, he’s an amateur. He takes it, just like I knew he would.
Mae lies on the bed and lets him tie her hands together before securing them to the bars of her headboard. He leans over her, moving his clumsy fingers to her top. “I wouldn’t do that if I was you,” I growl, and they both turn in fright to look at me.
“Shit,” shouts the guy, stepping back from Mae, and holding up his hands. “Is that your dad?”
“Fuck, Ace, what the hell are you doing?” snaps Mae, tugging on her restraints. “Let me out of these,” she adds, glaring at the guy.
He moves towards her, and I stand abruptly, so he freezes. “Get out,” I murmur. He gives Mae an uncertain look. “Didn’t you hear me?” I ask with more force in my tone.
Mae sighs. “It’s fine. You’d better go. I’ll call you.”
“You won’t,” I say, folding my arms over my chest and glaring at him. He backs out the room, feeling along the wall behind him for the exit and practically running out.
I slam the door closed and flick the lock, then walk back over to the chair while shrugging off my kutte. I place it over the back, taking my gun from my waistband and laying it on the bedside table. I feel her eyes following me as I move around the room. “Let me out of this,” she snaps, tugging her hands.
“Did you even get his name?” I ask, staring down at her. “You let a stranger tie you up. He could have done anything to you.”
She smirks. “Kinda the point.”
“He was an amateur. He wouldn’t have made you come, Mae,” I murmur, unclipping my belt.
Her eyes dart to my hands as she bites her lower lip. “Well, I guess I’ll never know, will I.”
I rip my belt from the loops, and she inhales sharply. Seeing her vulnerable broke my final straw. I have no resolve left. “I’m gonna fuck you, Mae. Show you what it feels like to have a real man make you come.”
“You are?” she asks, her voice coming out breathless.
I nod, dragging my finger along her leg. “I’m gonna untie you because I don’t fuck women who use fluffy pink robe ties as restraints.” I smirk. “Keep your hands above your head.” I continue dragging my finger along her body, pulling her top with it and exposing her lace bra. I make quick work of removing the robe tie, dropping it to the floor, and I hold up my belt, silently asking for permission. She nods, and I wrap the belt around one wrist and pull it through the metal of her bed. I then wrap it around the second wrist and secure it. I tug it to show her how secure it is. “You wanna come out of this, you just say the word.” She nods again.
I stare down at her for a few seconds, ignoring the warning voice in my head telling me this will change everything. I push her top farther up her body. “What have you done to me, Mae?” Tugging the cups of her bra down, I groan at the sight of her perfect breasts. “We’re about to cross a line,” I add. She nods, keeping her eyes fixed on me. Her breathing is coming in fast bursts, making her chest rise and fall. I lean closer, flicking my tongue over a pert nipple, and she hisses. “Let’s hope we can survive it,” I whisper.

I close my eyes in pleasure. His mouth is the only part of his body touching me, and as he pays attention to my other nipple, I twist my body closer to him, needing more. He steps back and my eyes shoot open. He smirks. “I gotta grab something from my room. Stay still.” He backs out the room, leaving the door open. I glare after him, aware someone could walk past any second and see me like this.
A few minutes pass and I’m beginning to panic, but then I finally hear footsteps and he appears by the door. “Pres,” shouts Bear, and my eyes widen in panic. Ace gives me an easy grin.
“Yeah?” he replies.
“Are you coming down for a game of poker?”
“I’d love to Bear,” he pauses, glancing at me again with another smirk, “but yah know what, I promised Bernie I’d have a chat with Mae about her crazy moods lately. Maybe I’ll join you when I’m done.”
“Okay, Pres, your call, but Scar is so drunk right now and he’s betting crazy money.”
