“I came for a fuck,” he hisses in my ear. “I ain’t leaving until I get one.”

“Aren’t I a little old for you?” I muse. He presses his erection to my arse, and I roll my eyes.

“A cunt is a cunt,” he growls.

I shove back off the door, and he stumbles slightly. I dive at him, shoving him back onto the bed. “I hate that word,” I snap. “There are so many more words out there equally as offensive but less disgusting,” I tell him.

He doesn’t gauge the danger he’s in. Instead, his hands glide up my ribs to my breasts. “I love a fight,” he murmurs, groping me.

He uses his weight to spin us so I’m beneath him and takes full advantage of his freedom to place his hands where he likes. I fidget, and he presses his erection against my core. It’s the distraction he needs while I twist to retrieve the knife from my ankle. At that moment, the door busts open and Tim is ripped from me. I push onto my elbows to find Albert holding him against the wall with a gun to his head. “What the fuck?” I snap.

“Did he touch you?” he demands to know.

“Bert, I’m at work,” I say, exasperated.

A small pop sounds out and the guy slumps. Albert drops him to the ground and turns back to me. “He had his fucking hands on what’s mine,” he growls.

Archer appears in the doorway. “Sorry, the key card wouldn’t . . .” He trails off, taking in the scene before him. “Fuck, I missed it?”

I flop back onto the bed and groan loudly. “What the fuck has my life become?”

“You mean you were meant to be here?” asks Albert.

“I couldn’t get in, and by the time I found a staff member to sort it—”

I pinch the bridge of my nose. “You spoke to a staff member?” Albert repeats.

“Well, yeah, I needed to sort the card.”

Albert glares at me. “Do you see what I mean?” he snaps. “A liability!”

I sit up. “Why are you here, Albert?”

“You were in a hotel, what the fuck was I meant to think?”

I glare at him angrily. “You’re tracking me?”

He hesitates. It’s the first time he’s said it out loud. “Well, yeah. We track all our employees.”

“Including Archer?” I ask, arching my brow, and he nods. “So, you thought I was in here with him?”

“It’s a good job I came in when I did because that guy was on top of you, Red!”

I throw my knife and it slices into the wooden door, missing Albert by inches. His eyes widen. “Seriously!” he yells.

“I had it under control,” I say through gritted teeth.

ALBERT

She stands, retrieving her knife from the door. “Clean this mess up yourself, I’m done,” she growls, storming out.

Archer shifts uncomfortably. “You want me to sort it?”

I almost laugh. “No, Archer. No, I don’t. Go get any CCTV from today and pray to fucking God the employee doesn’t recognise you if the police chase this clusterfuck.”

“She won’t. She was more than accommodating.”

I glare at his smirk. “What?”
