Her laughter tinkled across my senses. “Nice try. I’m not climbing back into bed.”
She backed away, bending down, looking for something.
“Are you sure? I can make it worth your while.”

Her brows furrowed as she sat on the bed beside me. “Seriously? Pinky promise?”
“It’s a long story.” I kissed her back before drawing up her zipper. “I’ll tell you next time.”
She was silent for so long before she asked, “Next time?”
I rose on an elbow, taking her face in. “Yes. When can I see you again?”
Ava stood at the foot of the bed, a smile playing across her lips. “When do you want to see me again?”
I thought for a second. “Tonight.”
If possible, I wouldn’t let her leave. We’d spend the whole of today together. But that wasn’t possible since we both had to work.
The next best option was to see her this evening.
Her eyes widened, like she wasn't sure what to say.
“Come over.” I sat up. The covers fell, exposing my upper body.
