“You bring out the beast in me.”

Caw...caw.

And the crow agreed.

About time he showed up. Where the fuck had he flown off to since those Dirty Death chased us? Goddamn crazy bird.

Callie blew out a breath. “Where’s the Powder Keg?”

“I’ll tell you for a kiss.”

“You can’t be serious right now.”

I slapped my hand over my chest. “As serious as a heart attack.”

This girl wasn’t like anyone I ever met. Feisty. Intelligent. Sharp-witted. So. Fucking. Beautiful. Not to mention she could handle herself in a crisis.

Ol’ lady material.

And I swore I’d never have one. I enjoyed a different woman in my bed every night. Hell, I had a rotation of sweet butts in my room all week at the Roost. Sometimes more than one partner at a time. Adventurous sex turned me on.

Until I stared at this sweet, sexy blonde and her pouty, perfect lips. Gray eyes full of mystery and a hint of mischief. Hourglass curves I itched to grab onto and an ass I couldn’t wait to nibble on. She would take my dick like a good girl and love every minute.

Shiiiiit. I needed her, and the idea of seducing her became an instant obsession.

Callie kept me on my toes, and I liked that she wasn’t predictable. Too much of my life and the women in it had been a revolving door of the same parties, sex, drugs, and alcohol. No stability other than the club. The Devil’s Murder was family, make no mistake about that, but I wanted more than busting a nut and sleeping alone each night.

Holy fuck.

When the hell did that change?

“I don’t think this is the time—” Callie began.

I cut her off, tilted her chin, and pressed my lips to hers. A part of me wanted to ravage her mouth and dominate the entire kiss from start to finish, but I didn’t. I caressed her mouth like I wanted to do with her cunt, licking, savoring, enjoying the warmth and raw need that suddenly burst into flame. I didn’t realize I’d moved us and had her pressed up against the wall until her hands pushed at my chest, severing our connection.

Her chest rose and fell as she struggled to regain her composure. “We can’t do this. Not now.”

“Later?” I asked with a wink, lightening the moment.

She didn’t respond. “Where’s the Powder Keg?”

“Make a left out of the garage, walk two blocks, turn left again. You can’t miss the big barrel on the neon sign.”

She scrunched up her nose. “Okay, about ten minutes. Maybe twelve with your injury.”

“You’re fucking brilliant, baby.”

“I’m not a baby.” She made a face like she had just sucked on a lemon. “That’s the worst endearment.”

“Oh, is it?” Damn. Wasn’t she fucking cute? “What do you prefer I call you in bed, baby?”

She closed the distance between us. “Your goddess. Beautiful. Sweetling. Your treasure. Your queen. The list is endless.”

The husky way her voice dripped each of those words went straight to my dick, and all the blood rushed south. Instant stiffy. This girl gave me wood I hadn’t had since my teen years.

Fuck. Me.

“You ready to leave now, Hawk?”
