Chrissie felt herself tingle with excitement.

Jack was only speaking in jest, but there was something about the commanding tone of his voice that made her feel ever so submissive. It was as if Jack held the key to unlocking her full potential as a Little.

It was an exciting thought to have. But Chrissie also knew that her enthusiasm had been exploited by people in the past. She felt confident that Jack would never exploit her or break her trust, but there was certainly still a part of Chrissie that found it hard to totally let go and believe what her heart was telling her… that Jack was her Forever Daddy.

‘Three apples in less than three minutes. Must be a record,’ Jack said, putting his tiny apple core down on the breakfast tray. ‘I’d love to stay in bed with you, girl. My guydown therewould love to stay too! But, alas, I have business to attend to in town.’

‘Oh stinkers,’ Chrissie said, pouting. ‘I wanted to stay in bed with your forever!’

‘And when I say I’m getting up and going to town, I mean webothare!’ Jack retorted, smiling as he made it clear that it wasn’t a request, but a command. ‘Up!’

Chrissie loved it when Jack let his authoritative streak run wild. It made her want to roll on the floor and kick her legs, anything to make her Daddy spank her butt and teach her a lesson for being a brat. In fact, Chrissie was tempted to make Jack spank her right there and then.

But Jack was wise to her game…

‘Don’t worry, all punishments earned today will be dished outafter dark,’ Jack laughed. ‘On your feet and move that cute little butt of yours. Stallion Valley may not be the big city, but we like to get things done on time and in good order.’

Chrissie got up and did as she was told.

After all, how could she resist when it was her Daddy giving out the commands?

* * *

With Jack off about town handling his usual business, Chrissie was sitting in the Little Diner with her laptop open and a large pot of boiling hot coffee next to her.

Mama Lorraine had also given Chrissie a complimentary hot fudge cake slice to go with her drink, a generous and very welcoming gesture that Chrissie was exceedingly grateful for.

Chrissie felt on top of the world – suddenly she had absolutely no idea why it had taken her so long to make the move from the city to Stallion Valley.

There was a feelgood vibe in the diner, with the jukebox in the corner pumping out some upbeat hits from over the years. Chrissie looked around and saw a variety of people sipping their drinks and chomping on their food.

Couples. Truckers. Local businessmen. All kinds of folk!

The Little Diner was clearly a place where all types of people came to as part of their daily ritual.

My kind of place.

My kind of town.

Chrissie smiled and then got back to work. But before she could answer her first work enquiry of the day, she saw a message pop up on her phone. It was from her new friend, Poppy…

Hey! So I think hanging out with you yesterday was totally the best thing ever. I’m not even kidding. Seriously. I can’t wait until you, me and Lilly can go to have some fun in the Stuffie Shack together! Kisses, Poppy xxxxxxxxxx

Chrissie looked up from her phone and smiled. She couldn’t believe how good it was to find such charming, fun-loving Littles who seemed to be on the same page as her.

Poppy was rich, seriouslyrich in fact. But unlike the rich girls from high school and college, Poppy wasn’t a snob and totally took people at face value. Chrissie knew that they were going to be great friends soon enough.

Stallion Valley was very quickly looking like the greatest decision in Chrissie’s life. Speaking of which, Chrissie’s phone flashed up again. Except this time it wasn’t from a new friend, or from her new Daddy. It was a message from the removal company. Her stuff was apparently still stuck in transit and not only that, it had in fact been returned back to the city.

‘What the?’ Chrissie said, re-reading the text message to make sure that she had read it correctly. ‘That can’t be right!’

As Chrissie was attempting to work out exactly what on earth was going on, she felt a presence standing over her. Looking up to see if it was Mama Lorraine returning with another free slice of cake, Chrissie couldn’t have been more disappointed.

It wasn’t Mama Lorraine. In fact, it was the last person on earth that Chrissie would have wanted to see in that moment. It was Nigel.

With his slicked back, greasy hair and snarky smile, Nigel sneered at Chrissie with a look on his face that spelled trouble.

Not only was Nigel Chrissie’s ex-boyfriend, but he was hercurrentboss. To say things had been awkward between them since the split was an understatement. Chrissie had been more than willing to move on and maintain a professional relationship – despite the fact that Nigel had treated her like crap.
