TheManimalsin the pack had stopped only a few feet fromAndiandCade.Theywere still snarling but they were also looking atGoodieBo-long uncertainly.

“Getin the house!”GoodieBo-long orderedAnditersely, not taking her eyes from theManimalpack. “Thiswill only hold them off for a minute—you and yourManimalboth—go!”

Andiunfroze.GrabbingCade’sarm, she tugged at herProtector.

“Cade, come on—come on!”she exclaimed.Butthe bigHybridclearly didn’t want to go.Hewas still standing there, growling, his eyes red withRageas he glared at theManimals.

Meanwhile, theManimalpack was slowly getting over their fear ofGoodieBo-long and her weapon.Theywere starting to creep forward again, their eyes gleaming in the dim moonlight.

“I’veonly got one more shot left,”GoodieBo-long warned. “Andas soon asIshoot it,I’mgoing back.GetyourManimalin the house or he’ll die out here!”Shecocked the weapon with aclick-clicksound and added, “Youhave five seconds.”

Andifelt terror fill her chest like live coals.

“Cade—Cade!Lookat me!”Shecame to stand in front of the bigHybrid.Reachingup, she put both hands on the sides of his face and forced him to look at her. “Iknow you want to protect me,” she said, looking into those red eyes of his. “Butthis isn’t the way to do it.Wehave a safe place to go andIneed you to come with me—now!”

Atlast the red began to fade from his eyes andAndicould tell he was focusing on her instead of theManimalpack.

“Comeon!” she urged and thenGoodieBo-long shot again.

Ka-BLAM!

Cadejerked andAndicouldn’t help jumping as well, even though she’d been expecting the shot.Thenshe was running, draggingCadeby the arm as they followedGoodieBo-long up the steps to her big, round, three-layer-cake mansion.

Andikept a firm grip on the bigHybrid’sarm.Ofcourse, she knewCadewas coming with her of his own accord—she wouldn’t actually have been able to drag him along with her if he was unwilling to go.Butshe didn’t want him to get distracted with theManimalpack again—which was howling behind them.

“Comeon—in the house—hurry!”GoodieBo-long panted, holding the door open for them.

Andiducked past her andCadecame right behind.Amoment laterGoodieBo-long was slamming the door shut and sealing it tight with several locking mechanisms.

“There!” she said, leaning the long, cylindrical weapon against the curving wall beside the door before she turned to face them.

Shewas wearing a short, pink, diaphanous gown that only came to her mid thighs and was cut low enough to show both breasts.Shealso had on a short robe that matched and was trimmed with tiny, fluffy, dark pink feathers.Theshoes on her feet looked like kitten heels and they had the same fluffy feathers around the toes.Andinoticed that her toenails were painted bright pink—presumably to match her hair.

“Thatwas a close one!”GoodieBo-long said, looking atAndi, who was just standing there in the middle of the large foyer she found herself in. “Iwouldn’t have known anything was going wrong out there if one of myManimalshadn’t alerted me.Isn’tthat right,Gobi?” she cooed at aManimalwho came over on all fours.

Hemust have been a handsome man before he lost his mind,Andithought, watching asGoodieBo-long offered him her breasts to suck—presumably as a reward for alerting her to trouble.Hehad thick, dark pink hair that was nearly red and deep, spruce-green skin.Hisbody was muscular and fit and between his legs she could see a shaft dangling down which looked almost as big asCade’s.

“Wecertainly owe him a debt of gratitude for letting you know we were stuck out there,” she said toGoodieBo-long, who was ruffling herManimal’sthick hair affectionately as he sucked her nipples.

“Yes—Gobiis myfavorite! He’stheManimalI’vehad the longest and he’s the only one allowed out after everyone else is in their kennel for the night.”Shelooked up atAndi. “Whathappened, anyway?DidGoodieTight-azz have a problem with you?”

“Oh, well, she…”Andifelt suddenly tongue-tied with embarrassment.Howcould she admit that their former landlady had walked in on them whileCadewas going down on her?

“Comeinto the living area and tell me about it, why don’t you?”GoodieBo-long suggested. “Enoughnow,Gobi,” she added, tapping the eagerManimalon the head. “Youcan have moreSweetDropslater.”

Obediently, the large muscularManimalstopped sucking her nipples and headed for the living area on all fours.Goodie-Bo-long followed him andAndiandCadefollowed her.

Andicaught her breath at what she saw when they turned the corner.Theliving area was truly grand.Itwas filled with heavy furniture upholstered in exotic looking black and white spotted leather.Onthe black marble floor was a striped black and white carpet that matched.Threehuge bay windows looked out on the street below, where theManimalpack could be seen wandering off now that there was no one to attack.

“Havea seat,”GoodieBo-long said. “I’llget us both a good stiff drink—you look like you could use it.Oh, and it’s perfectly fine for yourManimalto be on the furniture—Ihad it built specially to withstand a bit of rough play,” she added with a wink before sauntering off.

Andisettled on the large couch which was built almost toKindredproportions.Infact, this furniture wouldn’t have looked out of place aboard theMotherShip, she thought.Well, except for the black and white spots—theKindredtended to have more subtle taste than that.

Cadesettled beside her and put an arm possessively around her waist, pulling her close to his big, muscular body.Andiliked that—though she was still half mad at him.

“Younearly got yourself killed out there, you know,” she remarked, knowing that he couldn’t understand her. “Iwas so scared you were going to stay and try to fight that whole pack ofManimals!”

Cadeonly made a low rumbling sound in his throat and nuzzled her hair gently.
