My lungs fill with her ocean and divine scent the second I walk inside her apartment for the first time. However, I don’t notice anything else because my eyes are pinned on her. The soft light she left on is playing shadows across her stunning face framed with thick eyelashes. They flutter hypnotically, her eyes fixated on me.
My gaze becomes greedy in the silence as it travels down her body to her tits falling and rising with every breath. The thin purple top, not concealing our chemistry that hasn’t lessened as it burns brighter than ever.
“You’re killing me, kitten,” I roughly mutter, inching closer. “Say something.”
“You really hurt me, Dash.”
“I know.”
I bridge the gap between us with another step, and another, when she doesn’t stop me. This goes on for a while until we are only a lingering breath away. Because I’m insatiable and she doesn’t push me away, I grab the back of her neck and her waist, pulling her flush against me.
I just hold her.
Until our heartbeats become one.
“I thought I knew what love was but in reality, I didn’t truly know. It wasn’t until I fell for you that I truly realized its true meaning. Just how encompassing it is that my world began and ended with you. Just how devastating it was when you shattered it, and yet I couldn’t get you out of my head or stop loving you for even one second. I missed you with every fiber in my being, Dash.”
My heart and willpower breaks all over again. A better man would walk away but I need her too much. There may be a better man for her but no one will love her like I do.
She’s my muse.
My obsession.
My world.
“I can’t take back the things I’ve done, kitten. So let me spend the rest of our lives showing you how sorry I am. I love you so much. You’re my home, kitten. Let me in.”
Her fingers wind their way around my neck and she pulls me down before whispering, “Promise me you’ll never break my heart again.”
My chest expands at the vulnerability in her pupils. “Never again.”
“Promise me I’ll never have to live without you again.”
“You will never get rid of me even when we turn old and gray. You give me another chance and you’re stuck with me for eternity.”
“Promise.”
“I promise.” My lips touch hers. “Does this mean you’ve forgiven me? I need to hear you say it, kitten.”
“I forgive you.”
Three words and they free the black cloud over my head. The weight of the guilt in my soul, lessening almost immediately. I have a lot to make up for before it goes away completely.
Bianca frowns when I separate from her but her eyes widen when I drop to my knees and pull out the ring she left behind. I always carry it with me, waiting for the moment when I make her mine again. Her eyes sheen with more tears as her hand flies to her mouth before her lips split into a loving smile.
Only this woman could make me a ball of nerves.
Emotions clog my throat but I push through.
“Marry me and be my wife one last time, Bianca. No more lies. No more secrets. Just you and me and the babies we’ll have when you’re thirty.” The sweetest sound slips from her lips and I ask her to be mine for forever this time. “Will you be my home, kitten?”
“Yes. I’m yours, Dash,” she cries out, and I slide my ring onto her finger.
I catch her when she throws herself into my arms and I crush my lips against hers, tasting her tears of love and happiness. I devour her mouth while drowning myself in her.
“Say it again.”
“I’m yours.”
