“Why’s that?” I frown, wondering where her mind is going now. There’s one thing about Junie. She always keeps me on my damn toes.

“There’s nothing but giggling teenage girls at those things. I don’t want competition just to get my husband’s attention,” she jokes, and it’s me who gives into the laughter first.

“Junie, Baby, trust me when I tell you there’s not another fucking person on the face of the planet who could compete with you. You own me completely, Woman, heart and soul.”

“Ditto, Sheriff,” she says and leans up to kiss me.

I savor her kiss, taking my time, nibbling at her mouth, as I say a silent thank you to the Man Upstairs for sending Junie my way.

“Ditto isn’t really romantic,” I respond when we stop kissing, giving her a fake exhale that sounds almost mournful.

“It’s not?”

“No, and I was really trying to be romantic with you. I mean it is our wedding and all.”

“I wonder how I can possibly make it up to you?” she replies, and she lets out one of those giggles she was talking about earlier, and as if on cue, my cock jerks as the sound wraps around it.

“We could blow this popsicle stand. I could take you home, bend you over our bed and fuck you,” I suggest, quietly in her ear.

“Well, it is getting late and we have to be on a plane by noon tomorrow. It might be good to get home… you know, to nap,” she replies. The thought of boarding a plane so we can get to St. Bart for our honeymoon makes me feel like a fucking king. Junie all to myself for a week in nothing but a bikini—or naked… that has to be Heaven on Earth.

“All that beauty and you have brains too,” I reply, stepping away from her to scoop her up in my arms.

“Shut up, Sheriff, and get me home.”

“Gladly, Baby. Gladly.

Epilogue

Junie

Almost Four Years Later

“She’s beautiful,”I murmur softly, my fingertips softly stroking the little girl in my arms.

“She definitely looks more like her mommy than her daddy,” Ben coos in my ear, standing behind me as I hold little Aylin June Lodge. She was born yesterday and has instantly became the apple of everyone’s eye, including her mother, father, and big brother. I happen to think I’m going to be a kick-ass aunt to my little namesake. I’ll spoil her rotten and teach her never to settle.

“I’d bitch at you, Kingston, but I happen to think you’re right,” Gavin says, kissing Luna’s forehead and squeezing his wife. Luna just smiles at him. All she’s been doing is smiling, but then again, she has everything a woman could ask for.

“You look tired, Luna,” I tell her, softly. I stand up, placing a kiss on Aylin’s forehead. “Auntie loves you,” I whisper to my niece, breathing in her sweet scent. Gavin comes over and takes Aylin out of my arms, beaming with pride. “You did good, Big Brother.”

“Luna did good. I just got to reap the benefits,” he says, smiling and looking more relaxed than I’ve ever seen him. I stretch up and kiss his cheek and then walk to Luna, hugging my sister-in-law who has given so much happiness to my brother that I’ll be forever in her debt.

“You get some rest, we’ll talk soon,” I tell her.

“I will,” she says yawning. “I have Gavin and Joshua watching over Aylin, so I’ll nap.”

“Ben and I will come back tomorrow. Do you need anything?”

“Nope, I’m good. I got everything a girl could want.”

“I can see that,” I agree, and we share a smile.

“Because you have it too,” she whispers so low that I have to bend down to hear her.

“I do,” I admit. We share a smile of understanding, because Luna is the only other person who knows my secret. My gaze moves back over to Ben, who is laughing with Joshua and Gavin.

“When are you going to tell him?”
