“Ooh, is someone telling me that they want to spank me?”

“What is your obsession with spanking?” I asked. “It’s kind of weird.”

“Really?” he said. “Did you think it was weird when my hand was on your ass? Did you think it was weird when my hand slipped between your cheeks and rubbed your clit? I don’t think so. When I slipped my finger inside of you, you were gushing.”

“Oh my God, Finn, we’re in public.”

“Do you not like talking about this in public?” he said.

“Um, no.”

“Okay then, let’s continue.” I stared at him suspiciously. He had relented far too easily.

“I don’t get you, Finn Campbell.”

“What’s there to get?” he said, smirking.

“I don’t know. I feel like there’s more to you than I’m understanding, and I just don’t know what it is.”

“Maybe I just enjoy being with you,” he said.

We walked up to the line, and when we got to the ticket taker, he handed over our tickets along with a fifty-dollar bill. “What?”

“It’s not that much money, but I want to spend a little bit longer in here with you,” he said as he stepped inside. Immediately, I could feel my body shaking slightly. It was pitch-black, and I could hear odd sounds in the house.

I grabbed on to his arm. “Oh my God, I really don’t want to do this. I’m a scaredy-cat. If anything touches me or if anything tries to grab me, I will scream, and when I say I will scream, I will scream louder than anyone has ever screamed before. I’m just warning you.”

“It’s okay, I’ll protect you.”

“Uh-huh,” I said.

“Just hold on to my arm,” he said as we inched forward.

I felt something brush against my arm. “Aah!” I cried out.

“What is it?” he said.

“I don’t know, but something touched me.” He reached his hand out and laughed slightly.

“I think it was cotton or wool.”

“Well, it felt like a cobweb, and where there are cobwebs, there are spiders, and I hate spiders and…”

“Don’t worry, darling, I’ll protect you.”

“Uh-huh.” We moved forward again and came to a slight little passage. There was a dim light, and we could go either left or right.

“Which way shall we go, darling?”

“Why are you calling me darling?”

“I don’t have to.”

“Call me Harriet.”

“Okay.” He chuckled. “Do you want to go left or right, Harriet?”

“I want to go backward.”
