“Chelsea.”

“Fine,” she said, shrugging. “I knew this was going to be a bad idea,” she mumbled.

“What?” I said, staring at her.

“I just said I knew this wasn’t necessarily going to work out very well for you or for me.”

I just shook my head. “Well, nothing’s happened yet. And who knows? Maybe Polly’s going to save the day with some amazing food from Red Lobster.”

“And I could help save the day with my mashed potatoes.”

“Yeah, Chelsea. Sure.” I turned around, exited the kitchen, and took a couple of deep breaths. I could feel that my entire body was flushed, and I was nervous with worry.

Chelsea was right. This had been an awful, bad idea. I was going to quit. I couldn’t deal with this stress. I didn’t know what had possessed me to take such a job. I mean, desperation had possessed me, but it wasn’t worth it. I hadn’t anticipated it would be this hard, and this was only day two. As I made my way down the corridor back to the grand room, I saw Finn walking toward me.

“Hey, sexy,” he said.

“Hi,” I said, looking anywhere but at his face.

“Is everything okay?” He sounded concerned.

“Yep. It’s great,” I said, biting my lower lip as I finally looked into his eyes. His blue-green eyes were laughing at me.

“Hey, I’m really glad that you’re here.”

“You are?” I asked him, surprised.

“Yeah. In fact, I was thinking that perhaps we could sneak off, too.” He pressed his lips against my neck, and I closed my eyes as he kissed and bit his way down my neck. His lips then found their way to mine, and he kissed me passionately. I ran my fingers through his hair and kissed him back. I was surprised that he wanted to kiss me in the middle of the corridor in the middle of his party, but I wasn’t going to say no.

“I’m not sneaking with you to your room, Finn.”

“Pity,” he said, waiting to see if I might change my mind. “I’m hungry,” he said finally.

“Yeah, and the food will be coming out soon. Chelsea’s going to bring it while Polly finishes up the entrées.”

“Very nice,” he said, touching the side of my face, “but that’s not what I’m hungry for.”

“Wh-what are you hungry for?” I stammered though I knew full well what he was going to say.

“You know,” he said, reaching around my waist and pulling me toward him. “I want a little bit of…”

“Monica in your life?” I said, finishing his sentence, and he frowned slightly.

“What?”

“Don’t you know that song? I can’t remember the guy’s name, but he says something like he wants Monica and Tina and Sharon and whoever. I can’t remember their names,” I mumbled, realizing I was getting slightly anxious.

“No, I want a little bit of Harriet,” he said.

“Well, you had a little bit of Harriet,” I said and smiled at him.

“Then maybe I want a lot of Harriet.”

“And maybe I want a lot of Finn,” I said, flirting back with him. I figured I might as well. I was about to get fired or quit by the end of the night, so I might as well have my flirtatious ways going for me.

“Oh, so you do want some more Finn.”

“Why wouldn’t I?” I asked him. “The Finn that I had already was quite delicious.” I touched my lips and looked down toward his crotch. I felt like some sort of horny siren and I loved it.
