“Why the hell did we not know this?” Throttle asked.

“Advertising being an idiot isn’t something we like to do,” Compass drawled.

“You knew?” I asked.

Compass nodded.

Pirate pointed at me. “Remember, you’re pissed off at him, Yarder.”

For fuck’s sake.

Everyone turned back to me. “Thanks a lot, Pirate,” I growled.

“What did you think I meant when I said to keep it in your pants?” Yarder asked.

This was about Sloane.

Great.

I figured it was, but I was hopeful it was about something else entirely.

I was wrong.

“I figured you meant to keep it in my pants to the point where I wasn’t boinking every chick I saw,” I shrugged. “How was I supposed to know I was going to meet Sloane? Come on, Yarder.”

Yarder shook his head. “I need your head to be fucking clear and focused, Aero.” Yarder looked around the table. “All of you. Having women in our lives brings nothing but drama and chaos.”

I wrinkled my brow. “Are you fucking serious right now?”

“Yeah,” Fade agreed. “I think you might be going off the deep end here, prez. You expect us all to be monks or some shit?”

“I’m assuming when you and Compass were dating chicks, that was fine,” I spat. This was not at all what I expected when Yarder had called Church.

“Neither of us have ol’ ladies,” Yarder grunted.

“Where the hell is this coming from?” Dice demanded. “I know I don’t got a dog in this race because I don’t have an ol’ lady, or even a possible ol’ lady, but it seems kind of bullshit for you to sit here and be pissed that Aero managed to land a chick who can stand him for more than five minutes.”

“We just don’t want any drama coming into the club,” Compass clarified.

“Did you even talk to Sloane?” I asked. “She’s either working or reading a book. She is the furthest thing from drama.”

“Yeah,” Fade laughed. “Aero got a cute one, but she’s as tame as they come, bro.”

I glanced at Fade. “Thank you, I think.”

Fade tipped his chin to me. “I like her. I mean, we don’t really know her that well since you spent pretty much all Sunday in your room with her, but you know. She seems cool.”

“Enough,” Yarder growled. “I’m just fucking saying I don’t want any drama coming from you thinking you need an ol’ lady.”

“Is this really the reason why you called Church?” I asked.

Yarder glanced at Compass.

“No,” Compass replied. “We got some shit coming down the pipe.”

“Like what?” Smoke asked. “We got enough on our plates with the gym and body shop.”

Yarder shook his head. “We hired two chicks to take over the gym. We’re going to need everyone all hands-on deck at the garage from today going forward.”
