“Dove,” I shouted.

“Got ‘em,” she laughed. “I’m driving myself home. I’ll pick you up Monday for work.”

“You’re not taking my car,” I insisted.

She glanced at Aero and waved. “She’s all yours. Try not to break her.”

Dove headed to my car, and I didn’t know what to do.

“Babe,” Aero called.

“What are you doing here?” I asked. I stepped up to his bike and propped my hands on my hips. “I thought we were meeting at my house.”

“Hold your hands out,” he ordered.

I held out my hands and wondered what was about to happen.

Aero twisted and reached into his saddlebag. He pulled out my helmet and tossed it my way. “I was driving there and thought I would see if you wanted to go for a ride.”

“I have my car here, Aero,” I laughed.

A car horn honked.

Dove was driving my car and waved as she drove to the exit.

“You mean that car?” Aero asked.

I rolled my eyes and plopped the helmet on. “Dove is going to start hating me,” I grumbled. “I wanted her to come over tonight, and she said no because we’re apparently only having sex and not eating.”

Aero shrugged, “I mean, she’s not wrong, though I’m sure we’ll have to refuel at some point.”

“You’re a bad boy, Aero,” I laughed. “You were supposed to tell me she’s more than welcome to come over tonight.”

“You see her every damn day, Sloane. I think she can handle not seeing you for the weekend,” he reasoned.

I did, but that didn’t mean I only had to see her while we worked. “I thought you said you had something to tell me,” I changed the subject.

Aero shook his head and motioned behind him. “Get on. I’ll tell you later.”

I rolled my eyes but hopped on behind him. “A short ride, and then we’re going back to my place.”

“Sure, sure.” He turned in the seat and wrapped his arm around my waist. He pressed a kiss to my lips, and I melted into him.

It had been a long four days without him.

It was crazy how you could go years without something, not knowing what you are missing, and when you have it just one time, you miss it like your next breath.

“I missed you,” I whispered against his lips.

His eyes drifted open, and he pressed a soft kiss to my lips. “Me, too, babe. Ready?”

I nodded and sat back. “Where are we going?” I asked.

He shrugged, “Wherever the road takes us, babe.”
