He chuckled softly and continued to caress and tease.

I licked my lips, determined to concentrate on the conversation rather than the havoc his clever fingers were causing.

“What have you and Lugh been doing in all that time?”

“Lugh said he was going to do some research, and I was here, sleeping right alongside you.”

I arched an eyebrow. “For twenty-four hours?”

“Turning stone to water is no easy task, you know.” His voice was dry, and I smiled.

“But you’re recovered now?”

“You can’t tell?” he said, in a lazily sexy sort of way.

I chuckled softly, slipped a hand around his neck, and claimed his lips. For several minutes, there was no sound, no thought, nothing more than exploration and pleasure.

When desire became so great that the air burned with it, he gently pressed me onto my back and slid on top of me. I shifted my legs to allow him access, but he didn’t immediately move. He simply stared at me, his gaze consuming me, filled with warmth and wanting. But running deep underneath was something else, something that was almost… proprietary? As if in this moment, with this act, he was somehow claiming me as his.

Which was ridiculous, given this wasn’t our first time and we could never be anything more than mere lovers anyway.

Then he slipped slowly inside and began to move, and thought was swept away by the rising tide of pleasure.

Not just the once, but twice more over the next few hours.

If hehadintended to claim me, he certainly did a proper job of it.

After we’d showered and dressed, I called Lugh to let him know we were finally awake and arranged to meet him downstairs for breakfast. I was just pulling my spare boots on when my phone dinged, the sound telling me it was a text. There was only one person outside the two men I was with and maybe Mathi who had any reason to be texting me, and the latter would rather call than text. He’d once said that seduction was harder over the phone. He was very wrong.

I hit the message and quickly read it, a laugh of delight escaping.

“Something funny?” Cynwrig walked into the room, the towel wrapped around his hips not covering a great deal.

I reallydidlove the often too-small towels provided by smaller hotels. At least in situations like this.

“Just a message from Eljin.”

“You haven’t told him where we are, have you?”

It was sharply said, and I raised an eyebrow. “You have a problem with me receiving a text?”

“I have a problem with too many people knowing where we are.”

He tossed the towel aside to dress, and I enjoyed the view. He really did have a magnificent physique. “And perhaps with the fact that I have another lover?”

He met my gaze at that. “We both do, so no.”

I dropped my phone on the bed then walked over to him, amusement bubbling through me as I cupped his face in my hands. “Is that a hint of jealousy I’m hearing?”

“I have no reason to be jealous.”

“No, but it would nevertheless warm my lady bits if you were.”

Amusement twitched his lips. My words were basically an echo of what he’d said after one of his lovers—newly returned from overseas—had tried to steal him away from me during our dinner date at a swanky restaurant.

“I think your lady bits get more than enough attention.”

Another echo. My amusement grew. “Says the man who has at least six women—if not more—tending to his cockles.”
