“Alright, enough shenanigans, Lucky. Round ‘em up boys. Sinner’s men hit the jackpot,” Cruz informs us. Cruz looks my way, “Make that phone call and meet us inside. This is all hands on deck.”

I take a look around the yard, and everyone looks excited and bloodthirsty.

Whatever information Sinner scrounge up must be good if Cruz is calling in the Sons for backup. I just hope it leads to bringing Gabe back home in one piece.

I quickly pull out my phone to call Cain and tell him the situation. Zeke is with him, shouting in the background down the line about it being go time.

The Sons are hungry for vengeance, eager to get my dad back, and so am I.

King’s reign is finally coming to an end.

Angel tugs me behind her, leading me back into the house, where I spot three guys coming out of the garage carrying six large duffel bags. We head into the front room, filling the large area.

Over twenty men stand together, united to take King out.

Cruz stands in the center with the duffel bags lying on the ground by his feet as he addresses the room.

“Sinner was able to track down a location where we think King may be held up. For many years now, we’ve been at war with the Sons of Diablo but they have a stake in this fight and we need the manpower. We don’t know what we’re up against. This could be a walk in the park or the fight of our lives.”

He looks around the room, looking every man standing here in the eyes. “I know what I’m asking for is a lot. There have been lives lost on both sides, but right now, we need to come together. For the sake of this club, I’m asking you to put aside our differences so we can work together this one time. We need King, and the Sons want Gabriel. We all know the risks of the Cartel coming in if we can’t pull this off. So let’s get this done, and maybe this town can see the peace it deserves for once.”

Every man in the room bobs their head in agreement. Cruz reaches down, unzipping the bags on the ground, unveiling a massive amount of artillery. He chooses his weapons then steps back as the others crowd in to get theirs.

“We head out in twenty,” Cruz says, then walks out to the front yard.

After we are finished, the men that carried the bags into the room pick them up and head out the front door.

My eyes fall on Angel standing in the hallway, looking worried. The others follow my eye line as Royal nods in her direction.

We make our way through the crowded room to her. Royal takes her hand and pulls her down the hall into the master bedroom, with the rest of us following.

I’m the last to enter, shutting the door behind me.

“What’s wrong?” Jax asks, moving over to stand in front of her. His hands go under her arms, picking her up and placing her on the bed. “You worried about us, Trouble?”

Angel shyly looks up at him with a smirk on her lips. “I always worry about you when you’re about to put your lives on the line,” she says with sadness in her voice.

Lucky pounces on the bed, laying down behind her. He slips his hand up the back of her shirt, rubbing gently. She glances back at him, leaning down and kissing his lips.

Jealousy creeps up my spine. Curiosity gets the best of me as I look around to see the others' reactions, but Jax and Royal seem unphased by her and Lucky.

Angel pulls herself away from Lucky, turning back to Jax, who sweeps in, taking her mouth with his.

My head whips around to see Royal leaning back against the wall with his arms crossed over his chest, looking amused.

Royal was so jealous seeing her kiss Jax when we were younger that he forced us to make that stupid pact. So why is he acting as if seeing this doesn’t bother him now?

Before I get the nerve to ask him, he pushes off the wall stalking over Angel just as Jax steps back, breaking their kiss.

Angel wraps her arms around Royal’s neck as he lifts her up in his arms. Their lips meet as I take a step hitting my back against the door. Angel drops her feet to the ground, wiggling out of Royal’s grasp when she sees me about to retreat.

“I see the way you are looking at us. I know it doesn’t make a lot of sense, but it feels right at the same time,” she explains. My gaze lifts to the guys who look pleased with her answer.

This is what they want—to share her. It takes a minute to wrap my head around the idea, but as she takes a step toward me, my heart leaps forward to her. My feet move on their own accord. Her arms sweep around my neck, pulling me down to her height.

My lips are mere inches from hers, but I can’t seem to close the distance between us. Her breath comes in heavy, but she doesn’t make a move. No, she’s waiting for me to decide our fate.

Angel’s giving me the opportunity to choose her the way I always have. I want nothing more than to give her this, but something inside me is holding back.
