I grip her hair, tugging it back so her mouth is angled toward mine. “I’ll never have enough of my good girl,” I growl, capturing her lips again, kissing her until Callie tugs on my jacket and requests that I stop eating Mommy’s face.

“I’ll finish this later,” I growl into her ear.

She feels the bulge aching to burst through my pants. “I’m counting on it.”

As I head toward the ice rink, my hand entwined with my daughter’s, I’m only thinking about one thing—my wife sprawled out on our bed. “What do you think about skipping the skating and grabbing some ice cream now?”

She stares at me blankly and then frowns. “I want to be like Elsa on ice, so that means I need to fall a few times, right Daddy?”

I swallow. Looks like we’re raising a good girl—one I should learn from.

“That’s right, Callie. Ice cream can wait.”

And so can I. Callie’s only going to want to hold my hand like this for so long, and I need to relish these little moments.

“I love you, Sweetpea,” I say, kissing her hand.

“I love you too, Daddy.”

We head out onto the ice, falling almost immediately. But as I hold her in my arms, we get back up and do it all over again.

I look around and see that I’m surrounded by everyone important in my life. I couldn’t have wished for a better life.
