As I looked up, I saw the smoldering lust in her eyes, so much need and want. I knew only I could fulfill it at that moment. I gloried in that knowledge and ran with it. I had sunk back down and firmly pressed my lips to her slit.

Slowly, I inserted a finger and savored the low guttural moan that came from her lips. “James. Please.”

Smiling to myself, I knew I’d only just begun to explore her body. I used my hand to press firmly and rub in a circle as I licked and tasted, teased, and suckled.

It was insane how much I wanted her, wanted to please her. It came over me, and suddenly, nothing else mattered. I forgot all else, including my rock-hard shaft that was pressed firmly into the mattress.

The rhythm I created was wicked. I knew it was driving her to madness, but I couldn’t stop. I took her high and then let her fall back to earth again, just shy of screaming out my name.

Gwen puffed and panted and called out my name. Her head was thrashing from side to side, her fingers laced in my messy hair, and still, I continued this madness. She wrapped her legs around my shoulders as if to pin me to her, and I smiled.

The taste of her was everywhere. I wanted to stay there forever, hear her cry, scream, and feel her shudder beneath me as she did, and then begin again. I knew she couldn’t take much more. Her legs were shaking, her body was quivering from head to toe, and the sweet way she murmured my name was music to my ears.

When I finally led her over that edge and heard her scream my name over and over, I quickly rose up and drove fast and deep into her. Her arms wrapped around me as her body shook from head to toe.

Our eyes met and held. Something in me shifted. I barely noticed it, as I was so caught up in the ecstasy of the moment, but it was there, and then I moaned one last time and fell over the edge of insanity right along with her.

My body shook, my lungs seized up, and I felt the slightest hint of delirium as I collapsed beside her and pulled her close. “God, Gwen, I can’t get enough of you. This is a real problem you and I are going to need to deal with, but for now, sleep. Sleep.”

I kissed her forehead as she turned to me, still half-dazed and just as exhausted as I felt.

Morning came fast, the snow had stopped, and the road crew was cleaning everything up. It didn't take long, and just after lunch, Chelsea Market announced it was opening its doors again and we could proceed.

We’d spent the entire morning preparing in anticipation. I was back on my game, but somehow it felt different. We ate breakfast and talked about what still needed to be done. Finally, we were ready to head over and keep working on everything.

“Come on, Gwen.” I opened the door to our suite, ready to take on the world, but somehow feeling less like myself.

Gwen and I kept in touch over the next few days as we both worked out all the kinks of the opening, and she kept me on track for all I needed to do. In truth, she was a godsend and surpassed all that Martie had said.

With the new store open and the roads clear of the snow, customers from all walks of life were flooding my store. Employees handed out prizes and free gifts. People shopped until they dropped, partly because Chelsea Market had been closed due to the weather, and partly because we had a new store in house. It was a great day for me.

It felt good to get back to the suite after a successful day and unwind. I turned on my rock music on my phone, at a decent level of course, and we ate some take-out pizza.

“So, you're a vegetarian or a vegan, Gwen?”

“Vegetarian. I have yet to sacrifice cheese, that's my biggest weakness. Today at the market, it was really hard to NOT sample all the cheeses before we left. Your on-again, off-again friend Milly had quite a selection of cheeses to sample. Plus, I could never resist this pizza.”

“Yes, I know. She spent more than a few minutes trying to get me to try this fake cheese made from cauliflower. There was no way I was doing that.”

Her phone buzzed then.

“If that’s Martie, tell her I’m still furious with her about getting sick.”

Gwen smiled at me, looked at her phone, and turned away. “Hello. Oh, hi, Trey, thank you for calling me back. Yes, I have so much to tell you…” She trailed off as she walked out the door.

Suddenly, I was confused and agitated. She’s talking to a man. Who is this man? Does she have a boyfriend, fiancé?

I had a million questions, and it bothered me more than I wanted to admit, even to myself. She came back a few minutes later and I was curious, even nosey.

“Who was that?”

She frowned, sighed, and sat down next to me on the couch again. “Not that it's any of your business, but it’s work-related.”

She waved her hand around as she spoke. “Not work-related toyourwork, of course, but work-related to mine, once we are done here.”

That statement hung in the air. Other than a bit of tidying up some things — paperwork, phone calls, and tasks on the computer, we were done. I wasn’t ready to let her go yet.

“Well, about that, I might need you a bit longer.”
